Afterall, I do need a Villain to represent 'Me' in the SF games... "If god was a villian... pulls down sunglasses to reveal glass eye, and smiles He'd be me..." Shadow Force Agent:47 (Almost straight Em-4 figure. I messed around with the SMG a little to make it look a little more 'modern' and a little less 'near-future' and cut the tie to a point). I've since painted his belt buckle in gold... And some new toys... the Hasslefree Minigun ganger, 3 RAFM Moderns (Decius, Hannah & Briggs w/ SAW) & a gaggle of figures from Offensive minis (The Che wanabe will become an african milita leader; the guy in balaclava w/ shotgun & dude in body armour with pistol will become SF agents, the others will become misc. baddies)

(According to TMP) For those who don't know WTF I'm talking about - http://bongolesia.blogspot.com/ is a long runing AK47 blog, based around the ficticious country of Bongolesia. The page even goes so far as come up with various politicians, etc to populate the region! Also on TMP, and showing that when it comes to making figures work for 3rd world countries: http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=182288 In fairness, it is easier in 15mm as the detail is less, and so there is less to try to change... but the principle still stands!

Although historically the Cubans did have troops in Africa.

He may become a Communist advisor (ala the cubans in Angola) although I had been eyeing up the '10th company' pack from Mongrel for that. I could just paint him up as a Black I suppose, that'd work, or maybe remove the star from the beret & have him as a soldier of fortune... Think of the possibilities!

I'm trying breath some life into things, but I think they are just trying to be too ambitious with breaking everythng down quite so much. They'd almost be better having a very broad selection of Eastern Europe, Middle East & Afghanistan, Africa & Other 'over boards' with figure galleries, historical information, scenery, etc broken down within those sections. They also need a open discussion area for general gossip/bnter/on running jokes...

As it's set to turn into Gologo island levles of craziness, I decided to help the process along... So I've been painting like crazy this evening. As well as finishing the 12 Historical figures in the BOC thread, I also finished my AC57 greasers: And done some work on some more mulp heroes: Balaclava & SPAS 12 guy on the left has since been finished, and Magnum girl will be done in time for the game. Haven't had chance to do SAW guy though...

Merc Posts: 669 Group: Members Member #87 Joined: Jun 17, 2009	MAN, that place is soooooo dead !!!!!! a shame though; i would have been interested in seeing WTFO was going on in this genre, what leads people were using, and etc. if i played at all, it would be in my seldom used imaginary THIRD THRU SEVENTH WORLD countries of BRUTO- SLAVIA, SKUMBONIA, PUERTO VERDE, the GREAT SANDY KOFAX, FREEDONIA, LIBERTARIA, etc, and similar places that other folks have created for fun and games.
