Into the Deep Part 3: On the spectacular failure of the Aryanrieche bunkers attempt to clear the tunnels under the bunker the Vermen and Smoggers lured a ghoul band into the bunker entrance. Some one cut the power and the sentry guns failed. The door mechanism was seized open. The ghouls overan the guards at the bunker entrance before back up could arrive. The Field SS squad where close when the gaurds fell. Luckily for the bunker they are able to seal the lower storage level. The squad as called its officer and are going to sweep the tunnels to get rid of the mutants. However no mutants must pass them and enter the upper levels. The officer will arrive in 6 turns. Rules: Stalker Oblivion Victory Conditions: AR must get to the exit point killing all mutants and not allowing any past them. If the squad hold the level in their entry point then it will be a draw and the lower level has been held. If the mutants get past the squad or into the squads entry point then the squad lose and the mutants run rampant in the bunker. ![]() The Lower Level ![]() The Field SS deploy ![]() They advance up to the first chamber, the MG gunners left to guard the entrance to the upper levels. If they cant stop a screaming horde of mutants who can? ![]() The first Ghouls arrive. ![]() Sgt Kluass and a squaddie sweep the room only to find three huge mutant rats. ![]() The Sgt dispatches one it his dagger whilst the squaddie blasts the other to mutant hell. ![]() The remaining rat pounces on the sqauddie and bites his throat out. ![]() It spins and attacks the Sgt. Quickly its razor sharp teeth open a vein. The Sgt horsely whispers "For the Kaiser!" and grabs the mutant beast by the head. With a final lunge his combat knife smashes into the Rats skull killing it. With a sigh the Sgt dies. ![]() On losing contact with the Sgt the gunner and one troop panicked. They flee the lower level. ![]() The remaining trooper pulls back to the remaining MG gunner. They prepair to hold the tunnel exit and sell their lives dearly for Kaiser and Bunker! ![]() Alone in the dark they here approaching grunts and snarls of the mutant. ![]() Out of sight of our heros some Ghouls approach, the smell of blood and live flesh driving them wild. ![]() The Ghouls charge forwards for a snack. The troopers let rip and all three ghouls die in a hail of lead. ![]() The Kaptian arrives and not a moment too soon. ![]() Meanwhile more ghouls enter the lower level of the bunker. ![]() More Ghouls charge forwards at the defenders. ![]() The hail of fire kills two but leaves a the third ghoul untouched. ![]() The ghoul leaps at the MG gunner its claws striking him but the gunners armour holds. Meanwhile two more ghouls run towards the entrance. ![]() The Kaptain coolly levels his heavy pistol. It cracks twice and both ghouls drop dead with perfect head shots. I guess that is why he is an officer. ![]() The MG gunner lunges at the ghoul with a knife and lands a blow to the chest, killing it. End of the battle - its a draw. AR have stopped the spread of the mutants into the bunker, for now. But the entrance door is still open. Epilogue. The field SS move the containers over the exits to the first room making the area temporarily secure. They recovered the bodies of the fallen troopers. Can AR continue to hold the tunnels? Can they get the power back on? Will some hero run the gauntlet to seal the bunker from the tunnel? Tune in next time for.....into the Deeeeeeeppppp! |

Danny, old Dawgie's right I should have been eating some popcorn whilst reading this AAR! Just like when I'd watch all those old thrilling movies of yesteryear... Those AR need to keep an officer near by the way these fights have been going. Two AR boys lost to mutant rats!! Those boys musta been living on half rations and pulling too much time behind a desk. |

Brilliant game! The painting isnt bad either looking forward to the next part.. Maybe a full on mutant assault and the last stand of the kaiser..

They will have to make amends or .....the Penal Regiment is not yet formed. They will be at the front in the next push into the tunnels. That will be a make or break mission as the Bunker door can only be shut by the emergency hand controls (somehow the power was cut to the lower levels...is there a mutant sympathiser in the city?). The remains of the section and the runners will be attempting to lock the bunker off. Some fresh gas masked guys from the training academy will provide extra man power. It is rumoured that Major Maxim is on his way down to join the mission. The Castle has been wired and another squad is on its way to reinforce the bunker. However they will not arrive for a while. If the lower levels could only be held..... |

The tunnels of the Bunker too fragile to withstand explosives without damage correct? Could be time to select some suicide bombers volunteers maybe... No power?! Damn Kaiser forgot to paid the electric bill again!!! |
