Hi!

As part of my ongoing quest to find and play more games I remembered I had downloaded a copy of Nuclear Renaissance a while back but never tried it.

Has anyone played it and whats it like? At a glance theres some really entertaining rules in there, such as the Ginger skill!

It looks like a decent skirmish game and I may have to have a go of it but some reviews and suggestions would be most welcome!

All the best!

There are a few batreps on here - Time for Pain.

I like the rules, they are good fun and the campaign system works well. The rules can be a little maths heavy especially for working out character stats. I have a spreadsheet to take the pain out of it. The skills for melee seem a bit heavy and have too much fluff. They are more in line with RPG rather than a wargame. The vehicle mods are pretty fun too.

Its a D10 set with low rolls to pass and pretty much character based skirmishing. Initiative works as activate one character and activate another on the other side , and so on. I have to admit that despite the heaviness of some of the skills (write them down on the stat sheet, makes life easier when playing) I have had a blast using the rules and they are among one of my favourite rulesets.

Thanks for the info!

Ive decided to collect up a few 28mm gangs so I can play some sci-fi and post apocalyptic skirmishes and Nuclear Renaissance looks like a good option for a ruleset!

All the best!
