That could work for the top level.
The real issue is in game, when your Boys (or Girls) are searching for something inside, then a look out sees 30 Zeds surrounding the place...lol.
Also what about random Snipers and such?
I purchased these great looking buildings becuase they were cool...lol...but now actualley gaming them is a little bit of a problem.

Maybe try cutting them up with a band saw? You will have to be exact and you might lose more buildings than you can use. Put a lip on the inside so they can slot back together.

Don't do that then! :D How about doing it slowly by hand? (that was for Ross!).

Tried a stanley knife or Box Cutter as its known in some places in the multiverse.

I might of been in a lazzy mood the first time around, and after the saw ate up a pair of walls, I gave up on it for a while...
:twitch:

Uhh...yeah...I'll try to do it with a knife.

What brand of product are you talking about? If it's the one I think it is, can't recall the name something like Design Preservation Models, they sell modular wall systems and ya might not need to do as much cutting that way.

Have you considered separating the building sections vertically instead of horizontally? It might be a real pain in the ass for HO but if the floor alternate like odds on one wall section and even number on another it might work out.

A few months ago Rad Roamer posted some trees he made from wire here. I liked it so much i finally got around to trying it.

I've made fives others after this initial one. And since it's for 15mm the wire has been considerably smaller then the stuff Rad Roamer had to use i think. I made a mix of pva, plaster of paris and paint which i sloped on to bulk out the trees, especially near the roots.

The others i made will have foilage like this one. But i'll make some twisted looking old ones like Rad Roamer for the wasteland area.

They are very quick to do. I just wiped this one up as a tester. They all just wait basing then i'll put up a group shot.

To do the more twisted spooky trees that Radroamer did i may need a bit more wire for each one. I'll bet around to those ones later.

Yeah, thanks JAR. Oh, and Dicey. I found this one going through the inspirations thread again;

It's mainly all the detritus around the base of the buildings that got my interest. I was thinking of using wind swept sand up the eastern sides of the buildings. But finding it hard to expalain the effect i'm after, i may have trouble in practice. So all that crap around sidewalks looks do-able.
;) Gunkajima, nice.
