Nice little video - most of the footage for the first minute comes from the palace of culture and the school in Pripyat. There are also a few shots of Chernobyl town (with all the pipes running along/over the streets for clean water. Its fairly safe there now as the soviets took all the roo'fs and concrete roads up and then replaced them. Scientists live there on a 2 week on/2 week off cycle; and it even has a guest house. No 'civillians' are allowed there though.)

I have added some translations to the other signs I found on a Stalker fansite.

I also have these to add.

For your lab:
Posted Image
it reads "Sanitary zone -No trespassing"

For your stalker base:

Posted Image
It reads "You are on Duty territory. Do not provoke (us). And you will live." Nice eh?

General Zone sign:

Posted Image
It reads " No Trespassing"

For your military bases or as general propaganda:

Posted Image
It reads "For council rule!" (or senate, this is also where "soviet" comes from)!

For your Freedom base:

Posted Image
It reads "Freedom"

For any base wall:

Posted Image
It reads " Watch (or duty) schedule"

And this bit of graffiti was found in the toilets of a underground lab...

Posted Image
It reads "Coming in, don't be scared, coming out, don't cry." Bizarre and a bit sinister. Ross have you been there? :D

These latest posters (and translations) came from the Zone survival guide, which might help no stalker players see the nightmare world I am making in miniature. If you are playing the game for the first (or second) time don't look too hard as it contains spoilers. For the gamer it is a great resource filled with maps, characters (some great names in there), places, weapons, kit, mutants and more.

Thanks Danny, are you using print screen or do you have some application that you can use in game for multiple screen shots?

The last ones are from the zone survival guide. F12 prints the screen to folder STALKER-SHOC. You might have to search for it.

Right now for some more minis.....

Posted Image
Marked One. Legend and hero Stalker of the zone.

Posted Image
No girls in the zone? Not on Mattblackworld. The zone on MBW is a equal oppotunites zone!

Got these minis cheap on evilbay with their heads missing. Good fodder for this project.

Posted Image
Got a gas mask fetish....come to the zone were the girls will oblige you! :D

Posted Image
This is Murk, a Stalker of the Freedom faction. He camps up in a mutant haunted abandoned village were he hunts them with his trusty heavy pistol....there is a good chance he is mad.

The mini is "Sneaky Pete" from Ramshackle games.

Ready for some more from the Zone?

First up is a guy known as "Dark Knight" characterised by his unusual black Stalker Suit. He calls into the cordon rookie camp and helps the newbies to the zone get familiar with their new perilous life. This mini is also to be used as a Scav Town warrior who live over 1000 miles from the zone known as "Shadow". I was inspired to use him when I saw a Dark Knight Stalker suit patch for the game.

Posted Image
"ghost" - a famous stalker who can get into anywhere and is part of the gang that Marked One's mysterious target comes from. These guys are among some of the best stalkers in the zone.

Posted Image
Random low level Stalkers - depicted by their armour (experienced stalkers wear full suits like Marked One or Ghost).

Posted Image
More of the same gang.

Posted Image
"Wolf" - a Stalker who looks after the rookies in the rookie camp.

Posted Image
Mercenaries, expensive to hire and often spell trouble. More often or not they are in the hire of the Science teams but recently they have started to attack ordinary Stalkers.

Posted Image
Bandits, the bane of all factions in the zone. They often attack Stalkers to take their finds.

More Mercs and Freedom to follow - and maybe the Clear Sky faction. :D

Wow, looking brilliant as ever! Makes me want to play and get on with my own minis, though it means ordering from hasslesfree and that could be dangerous to my bank account :D

Currently its at:

5 Low level Stalkers, 4 experienced stalkers (including Marked One); 2 Mercenaries, 1 Freedom Stalker, 4 Bandits, 5 Monolith. Clear Sky = 0, Duty = 0, Scientists = 0.

Freedom, Duty, Scentists and Clear Sky all make use of Stalkers so I can rob the Stalker Minis.

Currently in undercoat there is 3 more Mercenaries and a Freedom Stalker. There is a scientist in paint. There is another bandit or two to come (need modification) and I plan a Clear Sky squad from Cadian plastics. There are some EM4 plastic gangers to look at for further Stalker and Bandit conversions too.
