South of the first city of the Neo Soviet Republic lies an area the locals simply call the "Zone". The bunker folks of NSR city know that a strange power lies within the zone and have tried to claim it, but with great losses. The zone protects itself with strange anomolies in time and space and massive psi storms called "blowouts". The zone is a scary place and if it doesnt want you there - it finds ways to kill you. The zone is teeming with strange mutants and they add to the hazards along with raditaion feilds. NSR cordened the zone off and sends onlys its best elite into the zone. They have to regularly as the zone is haunted by Scavengers, Tresspassers, Adventurers, Loners, Killers, Explorers and Robbers (STALKER). These guys know there is a living to made in the zone. They also know that the zone is alive and have a deep respect for it. Those that dont, do not live long. The STALKERs speak of a strange object in the centre of the zone. A monoith of stone that is the source of the zones power. Some say it is a gift from Matt Black to save them. Others blame aliens or angels. NSR want the stone but they also know that the zone is filled with expermental secret labs that existed before the fall. They want that knowledge for with it they could bring the world back to unity and return order from the chaos. There are many factions living in a 20 mile area. Many Stalkers are loners and few form gangs. There are cultists, bandits and the military to worry about too. The zone is a dangerous place. Here we see a Stalker on the left and a bandit from the "Razorheads" on the right. ![]() They will probally fight to the death. This is the start of my Stalker collection, as I have some more bits in paint I will update as I go along! |

Yeah they are on the shopping list. I have some 40K Vahallans as Neo Sov troops, Neo Sov minis (warzone?) for the speical forces, there is some EM4 cops as Politberu style para military cops. I want the westwind Soviet Command too. Stalkers are made from all sorts of mini lines. I have women too. Lots of conversions going on. It should be an interesting project. |

Yeah thats an old GW Elf. He was a converted eldar exploer in its last life (sword snapped off). Then it was a rework as the hood looks pretty good on these. |

One of the most feared factions in the Zone is the mysterious cult of "Monolith". These guys worship the stone in the center of the zone and fight to defend it from despoilers (which is pretty much everyone). The Monolith bozos are crazy and seem to be well equipped. Their kit suggests that they may have discovered a lost SOS or military Bunker. ![]() Strangely these guys seem to be hardened in some way to intense raditation fields as they survive in places that would kill normal men and women in minutes. |
