I've been checking out some cheap as dirt 2nd hand train set buildings that would be great to smash up and use in a post apocalyptic world. Has anyone (i'm looking at you Dicey) used this stuff with 15mm figs? |

I've been watching the HO stuff on ebay and it's been going for a bit more than i imagane in the first place. Oh well. Got some new inspiration that i'll aim for now. Here are some pics, they are from this blog; http://ambushalleyfrance.blogspot.com/ http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Pbxqh1R_jYI/SjUugFqF-AI/AAAAAAAAAtE/colO3Tvb22E/s1600-h/002.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Pbxqh1R_jYI/SjUukOkD4BI/AAAAAAAAAtM/XPCMU7ubgds/s1600-h/001.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Pbxqh1R_jYI/SjUte-hbGVI/AAAAAAAAAq8/zso4_1rWz78/s1600-h/019.jpg I'd just have to work at making it look a bit more apocolyptic. Graffiti, more brown, reddish grass and stuff. |

These aren't cheap but they are nice! JR Scenery![]() Old Crow do some a couple of pieces of scenery for near-future games but they are better known for some corking little vehicles. Old Crow ![]() There's another site crammed full of stuff in 15mm specifically for post-apoc. I stumbled on it while looking for something else but I don't have it bookmarked, I'll see if I can find it again it's absolutely amazing stuff but the prices are well beyond what I'd spend. Does that sound familiar to anyone? Edited by dicehead, Jul 17 2009, 02:28 AM.

Whoa! The Stalingrad ruins are great. But so expensive. I think i'll try Ravenfeasts idea of templates and foamcore. |

Some 15mm (mostly WWII - a ruin's a ruin right?) here and here I've been tempted by some HO stuff, but I dont want to buy lots and it be out of proportion. Those ruins are awesome

I think HO is a bit big for 15mm, it's a fairly good match for 20mm though. 15mm = 1/107 HO=1/87 20mm=1/80 Source: my own sadness on opening HO scale packages from eBay. |

http://www.rustyrail.com/HOJunkpileCastingsPage.htm Some very sexy stuff there, and according to TMP doesn't look too bad with 15mm... http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=174427 |

Sweet links through TMP guys. Really want some of those barrels, and other odds and ends. The jury seems to be out for me in regards to building scales. However i just imgen it would be hrd moving the 15's round proper scale buildings. I did dig up this pic from Rebel Minis. I'm pretty sure that KFC building is HO scale. Check it out; http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-51356505839231_2061_8815041 While the trash bins do come up to the 15's head, it's not too bad for scale. |

C-Cat, yeah it appears to be HO, but they can be had for near nothing at a model train show. There is a local train shop near me that has a load of stuff really cheap...

There's a swap meet this friday in my area. I'll be poking my nose in to have a look around. Hopefully there are some crazy old buildings that will be perfect to smash to pieces. I'm expecting i'd hve to explain i'll be using them for wargames. |
