The new version of Wastelands is available if you'd like to get a copy. The big change is vehicles, there's 10 archetypes to get you started and 20 upgrades for them. There's also simple rules for mounts, new and rebalanced factions and some interesting new archetypes. Auto fire rules seem to give good results now. New and more balanced random defenders and loot plus a few other changes. The core rules have not changed. Wastelands 1.2 Rulebook Corrections: Savages can hire the savage archetype. To make a control test roll D12, if the number is LOWER than your SAFE stat then you have kept control of the vehicle, if you roll equal to or higher than your safe stat then you have lost control as per the rules. I've tried to design it so any future updates will just be printing a replacement page, like for weapon stats etc. I'll get a summary sheet done for this version as soon as I get a chance. |

Some nice stuf in there. I look forward to giving the vehicle rules a spin. My factions in Doom Valley dont have vehicles so I might add them. Then again I could always try some other games. Maybe some sort of auto dual for wastlander entertainment. |

When I was testing the vehicle rules I had a wastelands rally around a track with a dozen zombies wandering around, it was absolute carnage! I might have to give that another go and do a batrep for it when I get a chance. I've uploaded a quick reference sheet in word format. It's got character criticals, vehicle criticals and an action summary. There's also space to record your characters and any vehicles you might have and a section recording your other gang information. Summary in DOC format |

Cheers, that sheet will be useful.
It kinda reminds me of the old Carmageddon PC game! Got to try it now. I have enough DF track to make a oval - ish track on a 6' x 4' table. Or I can flip over my mat and use the road network - or make a dirt track from chalk on the board. So many ideas. Gah - I still batteries for my camera. So X amount of captured randomly Zeds on a track (I will see just how much junk I have to make an arena). 3-5 cars. £ or 4 laps to win or last car driving or the most Zeds killed and who ever gets there first.

Cheers KFC it's a lot harder writing rules than I thought. I'm on the lookout for a cheap chopper kit at the moment too, if I find anything good I'll post you a link. Trying to find a cheap 1/50 ish scale aircraft to use as a crashed one turned into a settlement but no luck so far. |

Dicehead - having a couple of 1/48 aicraft I would say they fitted nicely. However I would say to go for larger aircraft such a heavy bombers or airliners (or air liner direved sircraft such as the Nimrod) as it will be too small. Guys - I got a 1:50 Eurocopter a couple of years back from Toys R Us. It was a fastlane item and cost less than a pack of minis. Check it out they might still have them. The size is just right. |

Something must have gone well wrong, there's no pretty pictures in there! Sorry about that, it's probably something to do with the way word formats columns I've heard that can cause problems. I've converted it to HTML format for you if you want to send me a PM with your email address I'll send it to you, it's plain text no pictures and basic layout. |

Hopefully (within the next month - I'm forcing myself to work through my lead pile) I'll have enough stuff assembled to tryout these (what seem to be) well structured rules! (I'll work out a 15mm conversion) Nice job. |

Great set of rules, have just had a proper read through. Great! Really easy to read and well laid out, managed to read through them in 20 minutes. (i am a fast reader mind you)I am looking forward to having a play of these and working out some little mods to help make it more stalker esque ![]() Thanks!! |

Thanks for the kind comments guys, glad you like it! I can see a Stalker mod being popular as a couple of other people have mentioned that they'd like to use it for that setting. |
