Rules: AT-43

UNA vs. KARMANS 1500 points.

UNA
4 Fire Toads (small walkers) - 2 units of 2 each,
2 units Steel Troopers (infantry)

KARMANS

1 unit & attachment of Kaptars (PA infantry with support),
1 unit & attachment of Anakongas (PA jump infantry with support),
1 unit K-Warriors (PA heavy artillery)

Meeting engagement in a ruined town.

Both side took advantage of the available cover, then the super-gorillas in powered armor promptly ripped a new one in each and every puny human and their silly walkers.

APES RULE!

The End :(|grin:

Gee, thanks Al! I was captivated for all of that report  Dawgie will like it and will ask several questions especially considering he's partial to those "APES".

To be honest, it was my first game of AT-43. The fellow playing the UNA had no idea what the Karmans were capable of, and neither did I. They were purchased at deep discount (with some Red Blok mecha) because apes in powered armor appeals to my feminine side. :(|wink: May pick up some more - if the price is right.

As for the game: the Fire Toads were steadily whittling away my forces as the apes obliterated the UNA infantry and continuously weakened the walkers. In a game of attrition: the apes outlasted the humans. Cover is your friend.

As for AT-43 rules: interesting. The chance to hit is dictated by the weapon strength vs. range of attack - the farther away the target, the less likely you'll hit. Then it's strength vs. armor to inflict one or more wounds. Not bad, all-in-all, but, following the GW business model, there's no "stat yer own figures" section in the rules. Which is why I won't be getting too heavy into this game.

Rank and file seem to be about 40mm to top of head. They're mounted on 35mm round bases.
