A Day In The Life Of The Red Terrors; Not the best of days...

Wasteland Legend Posts: 3,648 Group: Admins Member #2 Joined: Jul 24, 2008	A Day 'In The Life Of: The Red Terrors! The Red Terrors, an all girl biker gang. Apart from the usual heavy drinking, bike races, and burnout competitions, the Red Terrors also enjoy the odd bit of burglary, arson, and petty vandalism. It's this last part the sees the Red Terrors in a bit of strife. See, on their once a month rampage, they happen to think it was a good idea to victimise one of Boss Regan's drug barns. Boss Regan wasn't impressed. So instead of wasting his own henchmen, Regan contacted the local Dust Devil precinct and demanded that justice be served. With a hefty donation, Regan enlisted the Dust Devils to pay the Red Terrors a visit with orders to "leave no bitch standing!" ******** LOADING MAP, PLEASE WAIT ******** Locating the Red Terrors clubhouse, the Dust Devils moved in for the kill, two grunts jump out to take up firing positions! A surprise for the Dust Devils, the Red Terrors are smart enough to have lookouts who scream bloody murder at the riot vehicles approach. One of the disembarked DD's jogs forward, spraying a burst of submachine gun fire at the RT chick with the light machine gun, heavily wounding her. Seemingly oblivious to the perforations in her body she returns fire with a full auto spray shredding her assailant. The other footslogging Dust Devil aims up at the top of the multistory building and sprays an effective burst seriously wounding the other blond sentry. The riot vehicle speeds up to the compounds entrance and unloads another two grunts as it's turret cannon fires a booming shot that misses.. Three girls come out of the side of the clubhouse while another finishes the paper work and comes out of the dunny firing wildly at the urban APC. Unknown to all involved, three bikes return from an early morning ride, just seconds behind the Dust Devils. The yellow bike, in the lead, zooms past one of the Dust Devil grunts and cracks of a shot wounding him, as he gets hit he spins around firing wildly clipping the biker chick only to be gunned down by the passenger of the second bike. Quick to action, one of the grunts from the second drop jumps back to take cover behind a wrecked 4WD and cracks off a few ineffective shots at the oncoming bikers. Watching the approach of the trio of bikers, the blond on top of the ruined multistory building takes two quick yet well aimed shots dropping the grunt hiding behind the 4WD. The riot vehicle rolls to a stop as the gunner spins the turret around and fires, blowing a Red Terror ganger to tiny pieces. Taking cover at the edge of the fence, a DD grunt aims and fires a burst at the running chain wielding RT ganger knocking her off her feet. The heavily wounded sentry with the LMG unleashes a hail of bullets at the vehicle, shredding a tire and doing a little more cosmetic damage while from behind the crates to its front, a Terror chick rolls a perfectly placed grenade under it's axle. Two more grunts jump out of the rocking riot vehicle. The biker with the passenger whizzes up to the gate, her passenger firing at the lurking grunt, throwing him to the wall. The biker on the red bike comes up alongside finishing him off. From behind the riot vehicle a the grunt who shot the running Red Terrors chick squeezes off another burst taking her out. From in front of the vehicle, an overly courageous ganger jumps onto some crates and up onto the top of the machine wedging a timed grenade under the edge of the turret as a white helmeted grunt hits her with a burst of fire. From the side of the vehicle another chain wielding ganger charges in flailing her chain about clipping the grunt who shot dead the running ganger. The last two grunts hop out of their transport and open fire, one connecting his stream of hot lead with the biker and her passenger. Still firing, the grunt continues his lead stream killing the driver, sending the bike careening into some ruins taking the passenger out of action as well. Retaliating both of the remaining bikers fill the grunt with lead. The ganger on top of the riot vehicle is gunned down as the vehicles turret lines up a sneaky ganger on top of a gangway near the chick with the LMG. The wedged grenade rolls loose and goes off without doing any substantial damage to the APC. The chain wielding ganger flails about missing the grunt as he dodges a swing and leans back squeezing off a connecting burst. As she reels back he finishes the job. From behind cover the white helmeted grunt blows the red biker of her ride while another takes out the wounded yellow biker. A final shot from the riot vehicle rings out, blowing the LMG sentries post away. And thus ends a day in the life of the Red Terrors, wasn't a good day at all.

I was thinking while I was setting this up that I really ought to make a good old fashioned warehouse, but I'm just too damn lazy...

I seem to remember you working on the troopers at some point, but you were alittle off from finishing them. Batrep was interesting with a couple of twists, the bikes rocking up and the troopers jumping out at intervals. Good to see these twists in a batrep, helped in escalating my interest in what is a classic showdown of; Gang V The Man.

I seem to remember you working on the troopers at some point, but you were alittle off from finishing them. I finished the first ten, but I've another 5 that I started working on last night. Trying to get them finished before I crack out the putty and fix up the last three Kryal Knights I have here. CC Batrep was interesting with a couple of twists, the bikes rocking up and the troopers jumping out at intervals. Good to see these twists in a batrep, helped in escalating my interest in what is a classic showdown of; Gang V The Man. That dropping two at a time as the vehicle slowed wasn't a bad tactic, it left little buffers along the road. Not sure it was quite as effective as a group of concentrated fire though. Dyma I'll just come right out and say it: You have the sexiest boards I've seen in some time.. heh. Too kind Dyma! Even after I'd finished setting up the board I still feel it needed a little something. Not sure what that would be but I think it's lacking. Though, that may just be that I've seen most of this stuff (all the ruins on the right hand side of the board and quite a few other bits) in use for up to 6 years. Dyma That aside.. solo game? (See: Jedediah Jones) Nah, the missus threw some dice, siding with the chicks. I may need another opponent as it takes a bit to take the shots and pop them on the PC because of a small memory card. Tends to drag the game out to painful lengths. I honestly thought the chicks would kick arse in this one, but the two sentries getting hit in the opening round made a difference as with the rule system, once you start to take wounds it becomes harder to achieve effective results. Dan What rules did you use? Sorry Dan, forgot to answer this one last night, still using the Shadowrun rules.
