...Various things A lot of my stuff isn't for the Wasteland games I have planned, but there is the odd mini here and there that I'm working on for games set there. I want to get a bunch of stuff for enemies and the like, giant ants for example, but for now it's just the odd character mini here and there. Some of my other wargames stuff would also fit well in the post-Apoc setting. For example:![]() These are for my Daemon army for 40k, but I think they'd work just as well as Centaur-type creatures. ![]() ![]() ![]() A couple of extra members for my Orlock gang. ![]() A Scav that will be used as a hired local scout. ![]() The rest of the Orlock gang, painting in progress. ![]() There are a couple of miniatures here that are also for the Wasteland setting - the Mad Hatter and Deadly Gamesman from Black Scorpion Miniatures. They have some other figures there that would be fantastic for post-Apocalypse gaming. ![]() Finally, what I just started to work on today - a giant horde o' Feral Rad Ghouls. I'm just rebasing these and touching up some of the paintwork, these were built and painted by myself and a couple of other members of another forum I'm on, for a game that we ran at Games Day UK last year. ![]() http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f343/chris2686/ghoulbase.jpg The bases don't fit with the rest of my stuff, so it's off-with-their-snow and added sand and repaint. Comments and crit most welcome - I'm planning on buying some stuff to make a couple of new gangs for the setting soon. |

mbg - Hope to see your take on them soon ![]() Couple of miniatures I'm currently working on: ![]() "Mad Hatter" from Black Scorpion minis - he'll be some kind of slaver type I think. I wanted him to look faintly ridiculous with his yellow Wellington boots. The girl beneath him has a demon's pointed tail, I guess she's a mutie then.. ![]() "The Deadly Gamesman", also from Black Scorpion Miniatures. He'll be the noble representative of a Guild of some sort, will generally be escorted through the wasteland by some evil mercs from some Warzone miniatures (that I'm buying from v_lazy_dragon). |

The deadly gamesman is quite a miniature. I like the blue you're using. Can't wait to see him finished. And the mad hatter is perfect for this setting. I think Xander is doing one for the Lone gunman challange? |

Aye... I am working on one (although progress has stalled atm) - He's going to be a slightly insane vigillante calling himself Uncle Sam; and I'm trying to paint his coat as the stars and stripes... I'm also working on another of the blak scoprion figs. Deserter - these guys are looking really good! |

Is the Mad Hatter Ross? How does the Mad Hatter compare size wise to EM4 Future Wars, Copplestone or GW minis? I fancy a few of the black scorpion line for my collection. |

He's a bit taller, but it shouldn't notice too much.... AsS regards compatability - take a look at the figs in my AC57 thread in the figures section - these a size comp between 2 BS old west figures & an Em-4 scavenger. The figures in the 'desolation row' series are a smidgen taller; as they have cast on bases rather than slotta's |

I'd say he fits pretty much perfectly with GW stuff, he does have a base attached to him (including the already mentioned "Naked Sheila" (who has a devil's tail...) which adds a mm or so to the height. He also has the huge hat... The Deadly Gamesman is about the same, but again, has a silly hat, he comes with a slottabase though. |

Catachan Green indeed I wanted to go with a military surplus/paramilitary theme, so the majority of their body armour is the green, weapons are matt-black. Then they'll have bright hair and bright leggings ![]() ![]() Got some more of the base colours filled in last night They look rough as hell mind...

Nope they are ok. I slowly learnig more secrets about Devlen Mud. Perfect for 15mm, not too dark a wash that i can't go back over and highlight some more. Which i'm doing now. Anyway i can tell those brighter colours you have used will turn out well. I think highlights need to be pretty bright if you don't go back over them after the wash. The hight doesn't need to be blended either, so from base colour you con really jack up the highlight even if you do it only once. |

Well, the Escher haven't moved any further forward yet, might do some work on them later today ![]() Picked up a few things to work on at a car boot sale today and received a lovely new miniature in the post: ![]() Farm animals, for various wasteland beasts £1 for the 6. ![]() Going to use this one to take part in the "Pack Animal" challenge ![]() ![]() ![]() "Snookums", from the Horrorclix range. VERY NICE! BLACK SCORPION, DESOLATION ROW, and a lot of other very cool minis that work well with PA games are all around 30mm-32mm tall bur are so well done, they just look like bigger than average folks when mixed in with ALPHA FORGE, COPPLESTONE, EM4, RAL PARTHA, and other 25mm-28mm leads.
