I'm totally jealous of those camper vans. I want to build a post-nuke trailer park. Also, glad to see you can put an IG Cadian body on SM Scout legs! ![]() Sorry if this has been addressed, but what did you use for the merry-go-round? It looks like something I've seen in a kitchen but I'm not sure what it is LOL. |

Didn't realise there were comments on this ![]() dicehead - Thanks, did you see the troll/deathclaw/mutant finished in my painted miniatures thread? kfc v lot - Thanks ![]() Chrome_Cat - Yeh, would have made some nice playable vehicles, but they're probably more likely to get used this way I should be turning some other toy cars and trucks into vehicles for the gangs soon though.mattblackgod - Thanks! Dawgie - Which pictures in particular? The Deathclaw-type beast is the Cave Troll from Heresy Miniatures, the girl ganger is a Necromunda Escher, the gangers with the bandannas are the most recent Orlocks that GW released for Necromunda. The spec-ops stormtrooper-type (bare plastic) is a kitbash of Space Marine Scout legs and the rest Cadian parts. The miniatures attached to the terrain here and there are all GW iirc Cheers mate!Ninjamonkey73 - Go for it! You should be able to find some camper vans rather cheap! The Cadian torso goes well on the Scout legs, you just need to remove the belt from the torso, otherwise it looks a little bit odd The other thing that bugged me about the Scout legs is that the holster built in is empty. Fine if you have a Bolt Pistol/CCW-wielding Scout, but not if they have Bolters etc., and not for a tooled up Guardsman. I added pistol butts to the holsters with wire and greenstuff. The roundabout is made from the lid of a tub of live food, for my pet turtles, they were some kind of grubs it was completely round, I trimmed off the edges to get that. Then I used some thick paperclips for the bars. Hope that helps!

Slowly starting to work on some other bits of terrain...![]() The fly-tipping pile from Black Cat Bases, rebased on some board that's a bit more level. The sides have been filled and will get some sand to match them up. ![]() Some radioactive waste barrels, from Fenris Games on eBay - £4 including delivery for 10, fairly decent, though they are a little bit small compared to fuel barrels. They're getting sand and have some little piles of the filler on them. Lots more to come eventually, I recently bought a big pack of foamboard, so I'll be able to start making my shanty town and some vertical terrain (a bit like the Necromunda stuff, combined with the look of Megaton from Fallout3). |

Hi! Hugely inspiring thread! I'm deninately copying your play ground. Although I think I'll seperate the bits. The trailer park is a given too. Very very good stuff. Now get cracking with the paint

Some WIP Jungle terrain I started yesterday - MDF bases, aquarium plants, lotsa hot glue action!![]() Also started these, which use Lotus flower seed pods as some kind of big alien flora - I got a carrier bag full of these off eBay for a few £s, so there will most likely be more ![]() ![]() And this, which is my prototype ruin, which would be fairly overgrown by greenery - it was a test to see how the textured spraypaint I picked up would cover - quite happy with the results (as yet un-photographed) so there shall be more walls and various ruins in this style, fully reclaimed by the jungle! |

Personally, I prefer hot glue on glue action, but that's just me. Looks good so far. Can't wait to see some better pics of the ruins. |

The first batch, 5 patches of flora, are finished! Quite a decent turnaround time-wise, considering my current speed of painting and getting projects finished. Take a look!![]() The above picture shows a selection of my current terrain selection, set up with various miniatures! ![]() ![]() These are lotus seed pods, which I envision are some sort of giant carnivorous alien fungi. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finally, an example of rule number 1 of terrain building - NEVER THROW ANYTHING AWAY! These are the stalks that I cut from the lotus seed pods in order for them to sit better when I glued them to their bases. Glued with the stalk in the air, they make great tree stumps! This was a nice simple batch of terrain - with the craters and rocks they'd make for a nice jungle-based playing area for some small Predators-themed skirmishes. Eventually I aim to have enough to densely pack a 4ft by 4ft playing area, which could be combined with the rest of my terrain when used on a larger area. What does this mean for the post-apoc Starport terrain? Not a thing - they're being built to be compatible! |

Been creating some buildings recently...![]() I realised that I didn't have anything particularly "urban" for the zomb-apoc and Weird WWII games I'm planning on running soon, so I cracked out the foamboard and mdf! ![]() ![]() So the first two are now basecoated with textured paint, with another half a dozen planned... |
