Just showing what I'm currently on with ![]() ![]() Dead trees. ![]() For a desolate campsite - my meagre haul from a car boot sale today. They were all 20p, so rather cheap! That's about it for now! Been on Fallout 3 a lot today

I am jealous, that camper is great. I need to get a new video card so i can play fo3 again. |

The sun went down and the ground started sort of grinding. A blinding light tore across the sky. A cyclone swept the landscape and left it completely flattened out. And several twirls of smoke unfolded like gigantic flowers. The way the morning broke was quite unusual. | |

![]() First one is assembled... Just added a few bits and pieces to it, and battered the hell out of it. I also made a sort of BBQ to it from the barrel there, plus a few bits and pieces: ![]() Made a spatula out of guitar wire and a little piece of plasticard I've also taken the stickers off the other camper van and the caravan, given them a sanding, snipped the bottom half of their wheels off and taken any detail off the underneath, so they'll sit a bit lower on the base. They've also been pretty well beaten up and then glued to their bases. I cut out a bunch of bases for other stuff, including some square bases for some army tents, and I built some scouring pad hedges, they'll be sickly/dead looking, to go with some shattered statues and stuff. Comments welcome

Nice... even got the grill set up for some nice big juicy rat burgers too. A small wasteland town made up of buses, trailers and tents would be a good setting for fringe groups. |

Nice car boot sale find! That little BBQ looks great, maybe a little deckchair next to it would look good? |

Hmm. The combi's are damn groovy. Nice score from the car boot. I think i've been looking in the wrong places for terrain supplies....and that's a copy of The Davinci Code in the first shot i believe. I like it when i can get unintentional little tell tale signs of peoples lives through their piccies...much more genuine than Facebook and Myspace.

Oh and the BBQ is a great touch. I'm a fussy bitch, and i like terrain that goes beyond functionality. Can't wait to see it done. |

Thanks guys ![]() Next up: ![]() Been working on some walls like those to the left in the picture (from Fallout 3). They're some kind of concrete, they look like they were the surface of a road or something, pulled up in slabs and sunk into the ground. ![]() Took some polystyrene, sliced it thinner, took some off-cuts of MDF, bevelled the edges, cut the polystyrene up into segments and glued them to the bases with a hot glue gun. ![]() I chopped up a bunch of these larger paperclips (shown next to an average one for scale) that my dad scavenged from somewhere (runs in the family) to make the spars that are sticking out of the concrete. ![]() Ta-daaaa - wall almost complete. "Patching Plaster" adds detail to the wall, the metal bits are added at the same time as the plaster. ![]() Repeat ![]() ![]() Just to show the scale. I will be combining these with some more ramshackle walls of tin sheeting and maybe some guard towers to make a compound for either some raiders or some scavengers. I also made some of these: ![]() ![]() Again, off-cuts of MDF, but this time combined with scouring pads for cleaning dishes. They're hedgerows, and will be painted to look diseased/dying/dead, for Mordheim or perhaps some more urban games on the Wasteland terrain - to go in a ruined park or something I suppose. Comments and suggestions most welcome ![]() |

That's looking great, I love present day stuff that has fallen apart. There's a weird optical illusion on that last picture, the shadows from the fence make it look like there's a set of stairs to the left of the swings. Very MC Escher! Maybe it's just my eyes. |
