Merc Posts: 673 Group: Members Member #87 Joined: Jun 17, 2009	GOOD MORNING AGAIN! my sister presented me with a big box of happiness on her way to work this morning! my AT-43 KARMAN WENDIGOS have arrived, safe and sound! i am not disapponted at all with what i got for my money. a. VENERABLE CORNELIUS wearing powered armor and armed to the teeth with guns, grenades, and power fists bristling with "attitude". he is the leader of the "pack". b. WENDIGO powered armor wearing space apes, also armed to the teeth and full of "attitude" x 8 ea (ea trooper has 4 arm big bore assault rifles and hand grenades the size of cantalopes) . c. WENDIGO ATTACHMENT BOX #1 featuring 4 hulking space apes wearing powered armor , armed to the teeth and displaying "attittude" (a NCO, a MEDIC, and two grenade launcher troopers). d. WENDIGO ATTACHMENT BOX #2 featurinf 4 more humongous powered armor clad space apes armed to the teeth and showing "attitude" (an NCO, a MEDIC, and two heavy machnegunners). everything is very nicely pre-painted (not GOLDEN DEMON AWARD but very nice) and mounted on round, black 40mm plastic bases, and the apes are 50mm tall from boot sole to top of their heads, bulky in proportion, and wearing their "fierce faces". CORNELIUS was less than $5.00 USA and each box of 4 KARMANS cost me $10.00 USA. these are sale prices at the WARSTORE.COM i am really excited and have some YETI powered armor wearing space apes enroute from THE WARSTORE.COM. next up are the powered armor wearing KARMAN rank and file soldiers, the ANAKONDAS. this also a great time tp pick up the AT-43 boxed set for $30.00 (contains 1 UNA FIRE TOAD combat walker and 8 UNA lite infantry soldiers, 1 THERIAN GOLGATHA combat walker and 8 THERIAN assault golems (soldiers), plus scenery, a playing maps, and a basic rulebook). all of these are nicely painted too. since earlier this year i have picked up 2 of these box sets at sale prices and they are worth it for the toys alone! i am not much of a THERIAN fan (nothing against the toys, i just have other AT-43 priorities than THERIANs right now), but i love the UNA and the KARMANS. i also feel the urge to shoot through for the RED BLOK eventually. during the last 2 years at full price, i picked up two more UNA FIRETOAD combat walkers, and a platoon of 32 UNA line troopers (3 squads of 8 soldiers, and a HQ section). these are also very nice pre-paints mounted on round black plastic bases. NOTE: extra swappable noggins come with the UNA infantrymen, and the combat walkers have optional weapons load outs. my other UNA forces included 6 ea UNA tactical soldiers wearing powered armor w/heavy laserguns x 2 ea, 3 ea UNA tactical troopers w/rotary barrel HMG x 2 ea, 3 ea powered armor tactical troopers w/ a missile launcher and EMP pulse guns, 3 ea tactical soldiers wearing powered armor w/ 1 ea heavy flamer and 1 ea powerlance, and LT G. EPSTEIN as platoon leader. i got the LT, HMG, MISSILE LAUNNCHER, AND FLAMER UNA powered armored soldiers on sale earlier this year for $10.00 for 3 ea soldiers per box. again all of the above are very nice pre-paints mounted on 40mm round plastic bases. the price is right, and if y'all do not like the paint job, it is easy enough to repaint them. i am happy with these the way they are out of the boxes. and best of all, now get this, i can have MINIME say, "C'MON YA APES! DO YA WANNA LIVE FOREVER?" to actual starfaring militaristic space apes . . . . DAWGIE

THEY all have different heads (covered by clear plastic bubble helmets! gonna have to see if i can order these as KARMAN asccessories for the rest of the apes!). four are rank/file powered armor troopers armed with a pair of "jugle rifles", cantalope sized hand grenades, and power fists. one NCO and one doc armed the same way, plus two heavy weapons troopers toting rapidfire, multi-shot missile launchers, again with cantalope sized hand grenades, and power fists. all have jump packs attached to their YETI powered armors, and all show signs of having seen extensive and numerous deployments with little or no down time in between. deffo veterans. turns out, WENDIGOS and YETIS are raiders and assault troopers (like HEINLEIN' s SST;THE BOOK MI) organized into squads of 8, so i am golden with the assumed TOE i went with. another eight YETIS and that portion of the KARMAN force is finis! SO did the KARMAN ARMY BOOK, so now i have an idea what the "official story" is on the KARMANS culture, political, military system and weapons. turns out every swinging set of nads in the KARMAN ground pounding military wears a version of high tech powered armor and a jetpack!! and the 8 ape squad holds true for the ANAKONGAS, the basic KARMAN soldier, too. ANAKONGAs are for short ranged and CQC! these guys are the real screaming, chest thumping space apes! they have drum guns and heavy flamers for support weaponry at squad level, with the majority of the squad armed with powerfists, drum pistols, and cantalope sized hand grenades. the support weapons and squad weaponry is identified thusly: DRUM GUN; 4mm VRF SAW using chemical propellant cartridges in a drum magazine. GRENADE LAUNCHER: direct fire or indirect fire magazine fed grenade launcher. Z-Z RIFLES: rapidfire laser rifle. apparently the pulses are of such short duration that these weapons appear to shoot a continous hi-powered laser and can be used as ranged "slashing lasers" as well as precision shooting lasers. 4 per WENDIGO squaddie makes these sound like real bad news. . . . JUNGLE RIFLES: these are mounted in pairs on powered armor forearms and use captured THERIAN nano tech - they are weapons that shoot "smart" explosive, armor penetrating nanotech ammo. FLAMERS: these are not flame throwers - they are actually sophisticated plasma guns capable of devastating area fire. ROCKET LAUNCHER: this thing is kinda like the WWII man-portable multi-shot AAA rocket launcher - it unloads a volley of unguided HE rockets into the target. this may turn out to be the smallest sci fi "army" i have ever "built" because of its power. DAWGIE, a big yellow banana held in each hand and foot . . . .
