Very nice indeed - I can see lots of uses for these.

Can you post the textures/templates?

I'm thinking a gameboard with three or four ramps leading up to a flat area made up of double width straight sections with an empty central area. Two ramps leading down .....

Thanks guys. Its 3d gaming textures pva'd onto foam core. Foam core is so easy to use!

Here are a couple of the texture maps i plan to use;

Have a look at the rest of the textures here;

I like the idea you have WhiskyRat might use that myself. :D

that looks better than i thought it would. I'm tempted to rip the fallout 3 textures and see how they look without normal maps.

Cool work, it reminds me of a scene in the Stalker game inside the lab that makes the Zombies...

The radiation scrubbers left me unsatisfied for quite a while so i didn't post them. They still seem a bit too plain. I would welcome some suggestions for them. I'm happy with the boxes and barrels, they hold alot of detail in them anyway.

All the time i'm doing this stuff i'm dreaming about a wasteland table, all deep red and brown with ruins and crazy trees. :(|:(:

Radiation Scrubbers and boxes.

What do radiation scrubbers do exactly?

Where'd you get the boxes, are they print off ones?

Come on Ross... they block line of sight!! :lol:

C-Cat, Please tell me your using yogurt containers (or the like) for the scrubbers.... what are the top vents made from? As for looking too plain maybe you should give 'em a wash perhaps? A little rust? Even inside a vault maintenance of equipment will start to go downhill after the Apocalypse, no ready supply of paint. How are you making the very nice control panels?

The other pieces look good too!

Other than blocking line of sight :) , a Radiation Scrubber makes an irradiated world livable again. (I got the idea from Ghost in the Shell 2nd Gig.)

Nice ideas Tinker. I think i'll paint sheet panelling onto the Scrubbers and promote that rusty impression, they are far too plan. The vents are Yakult yoghurt bottle tops. Yeah, its all yoghurt container. The control panels are molded from the panel on the door & ramp. I used milliput as the mold and green stuff as the cast. The boxes and barrels are resin casts.

Maybe some pipes coming out of the side down into the ground would finish them off nicely? They look pretty cool as they are though. Is it quite easy to separate the green stuff from the milliput mould?

you can buy black foam core, it would save you having to black out the sides of the foam.

If you lubricate it you won't have a problem, something like baby oil or Vaseline etc.......... bugger me, that's two conversations about lubricant I've had today.....

Penetration and lubrication... I think I'll ignore that part of the thread...

"Yakult yogurt bottle tops", not familiar with the brand, but I'll Google it!

Ah lubricant! It permeates all parts of our life. I use olive oil. :)

An extra tip is putting some superglue on the surface you wish to stick the cast on. The superglue holds it well as it comes out of the mold. You may have to straighten the cast out a little with your modelling knife after it comes out, but that's very easy.

I did put some pipes on the Scrubbers but they are hard to see in the piccies. Wouldn't mind having some larger ones on them.

That's a piccie of the Yakult bottle. I think i had some home brand ones that had more funkier shapes but still roughly the same.
