I was just having a look for gangster figs, surprised to see so few companies do them I would have thought they were quite popular. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.

I think Al's list is pretty comprehensive - there are some OOP ones out there too (Grenadier, Citadel and some more RP ones not available from IWM) but you need to spend a long time hunting evilbay for them...

TSR also had minis for their GANGBUSTERS rpg (along with Gamma World, Star Frontiers, Top Secret and Boot Hill) back in the 1980's, though true 25mm and all are long out of production. They'd work well with the Steve Barber minis and the original Ral Parthas.

there is also loads of gangsters in other ranges that are not even related. for instance in musketeers inter war range they have some irish peeps which would fit the description perfect.

Four Color Game/Superfigs http://www.fourcolorfigs.com/ has some, as well as Hydra Miniatures http://www.hydraminiatures.com/ - mostly robots and some minions, admittedly, but still quite usable in a Undersea Kingdom or Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow kind of way. :(|thumbup:

The TSR figures seemd to include 1 true 25mm figure, one 'true' 28mm figure and a slightly more heroic 28mm figure... they defiantely don't look like the figures are from the same range when stood next to each other, but makes them fairly easy to blend into other ranges.......

Nice work. What dip do you use?

I am thinking of using some to take the pain out of large batches of mutant critters and troops.

They Look good. I've always been a bit wary of "The Dip" and (As now with inks, washes and any other runny painting material) stayed away from it. However, it does seem to have its uses..... I shall look forward to the tutorial.
