Does anyone know of any good site for photo's of WWII scenery, specifically rural stuff?

Failing that, any good links to particularly inspiring WWII gaming blogs and the like?

Your best bet is just google image searches... If you head over to the flames of war main site there are a fair few nice images scattered through their history articles and their forums generally have some nice images up and about.
What are you after? I'll have a dig through my files to see if I've got anything you'd find useful.

I had a big hunt through the LAF until the PC shat itself (I had over 20 windows open, then as I decided to bookmark them incase the PC shut down..... the PC shut down :( :D ), rummaged through ooddles of threads and found quite a few inspiring ones there.

What I'm after is small hamlets, villages, single farm houses and surrounding buildings etc. Once I get a good selection of these built then I'll move into bigger buildings and towns. At least, that's the idea.

Oh... Well that's something I can't really help with :P My collection is mainly armoured vehicles... I like tanks.
I'll go searching for you though and see what I can turn up :) Two searchers are better than one...

These aren't 100% of what you're looking for, but I always follow the links to discover new possibilities...

Yeah, been there, done that, have two buildings to prove it ;)

I'll have a looksee through those other links you've provided Tinker (thanks by the way :) ) to see if I can skim something edible from them. Same too with the youtube footage, cheers Dicehead!

What I'm hunting for specifically is the sort of stuff you'd have laying around in a French village during that era, machinery, sheds, 'gubbinz' etc. Off I go...

I got the missus to hire me Saving Private Ryan yesterday........ and the disc was scratched so I only got to see the good bits ie the beach landing, the first village fight with the sniper in the bell tower, and the end battle.

28mm of course Dicey, though I'm more for the Weird War stuff, it's just that the dedicated WW2 boys have such sweet terrain I thought I'd see if I could find as much as possible for inspiration.

Speaking of inspiration, one of the guys who's work really got me into the Weirdness of war (besides the Dog Faced G.I.'s) has recently posted a batrep:
