Enforcer Posts: 4,118 Group: Admins Member #3 Joined: Jul 24, 2008	After the 2nd codex (Of Comedy) they tried to take them to a 'big green mad max' type feel, developed in gorka-morka and then rolled out over all of it. Personally I like'd them like that, its just they didn't apply the model terribly well and some bits didn't fit with that idea but GW decided they were 'kool'

Then again it might be that the fanboys might have been getting upset when the greenskins kept kicking their precious space marines all over the show. What chance would Humanity have if thier bio enhanced power armoured elite warriors constantly got a kicking by the thicko Orks?

Enforcer Posts: 4,118 Group: Admins Member #3 Joined: Jul 24, 2008	I don't know... if you read the fluff, (as I used to...) the Orks were created by the old ones to be a self sufficient warrior race, more than capable of taking on an comers and able to spread across the universe to put up resistance against the necrons, when they start to return. As they (orks) were created and genetically encoded by one of the 2 greatest civillizations the universe has ever seen, I think they probably shold be able to hand the space marines back on a plate....

(What really got me were the fanboys who had only ever read one generation of codexs and thought they knew EVERYTHING about the setting... Like the guy who grilled a GW staff member for calling Terminators 'Dreadnaught suits'. Dude damn near had a heart attack when he found out they were called 'tactical dreadnaught armour mk.2's' in a different piece of fluff which he hadn't read... )

I remember a really great White Dwarf article on TDA in the Astartes. Had a really cool piece of fluff about a Wolf Guard Terminator getting stepped on by a Titan.
