It was inevitable i guess. So many ideas in the rich PA setting, and everyone here showing off their flash on this forum, i've decided to make an PA effort. I tried to fight it but i was weak. Ok. The aim will be some Batreps with modified 5150 rules (a Chain reaction rule set). The premise will be a Vault city war, with elements of Danny's Aryanreich City, and the traitors of said city. The story injection will be equal parts of Aryanriech City, 1984 (the novel & movie) and Dances with Wolves. Confused? Good. The star of the story will be Reutger. An SS operative who's squad is wiped out by the savages of the decrepit Oceania Vault. ![]() Aryanreich City has always been at war with Oceania City. Oceania Vault City were the ones that caused the holocaust, they are sexual deviants and harbour the arch-terrorist Radstein. All the Aryians know this, and to deny it you must be in league with Radstein. Anyway, Reutger is taken captive and bought back to health by the noble savages of Oceania. During his stay there he comes to understand that there is no Radstein, and that the savages of Oceania Vault are former members of the Aryianreich Vault! ![]() ![]() Obviously they team up. As i get these guys painted i'll give a bit more story on them, and their mission |

Very cool minis. Fantastic start. I love the face masks. What is the greenstuff on the guns? Are they sights or folding stocks. Sorry , I cant quite make them out. I love the bases. One reason I invented such places as Aryanriech, Brittanna and Neo Sov was so I could use colonial through to modern minis for the forces. There is plenty of WW2 minis out there and lots of WWW2 stuff works well too. |

Actually Danny, i hope you don't mind me using the Aryanreich, it got the juices flowing. And i also have plenty of Steel Legion minis that look a little german WW2 that are painted and ready to use. It will help me get a Batrep off the ground as quick as possible. Plus Nazi imagery is rather evocative and great as baddies. The green stuff on the guns is just to bulk them out a little bit or to actually make them usable. I guess i'm still getting over 40K size guns. I'll see how deep the PA bug bites, cause i may be tempted to get some WWW2. The beauty of PA seems to be that you can use almost any minis with a bit of tweaking and story to fit them in. Reutger is from Victory Force Miniatures. They have alot of WW2 stuff, but he comes from the N.E.W. War range. With all the large scopes on the guns i had to get a half squad. Check out the Rocket Youth Pack squads to. Reutgers pose seems to be the most dynamic to me, althought the others still have their charm. I'll most likely through the rest of the squad into some Batreps later on as Oceania claims more traitors into the 9th circle. http://www.victoryforce.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=VFM&Category_Code=newwar As the story continues hopefully i'll get across the battle for mental emancipation from Aryanreich city in between the blood shed. This will happen as the Reutger and the Oceania mob get painted. |

I have no problems with you borrowing stuff from me. I fell in love with the Nazi bad guy idea when I saw a skank batrep over on Recon in force. It was Nazi gangs Vs Milita. So I formed a gang of skinheads and then the City itself. Nuke Ren also has a closed city with a Neo Nazi feel to it in its fluff.

Great title for a Hollywood B Movie I have friends talk about the addition of Nazis to books/movies/games as being the gimme archetype for bad guys, meaning you haven't even got to explain one bit of background because we all know that the Nazis were evil! Well, short of any local skinheads |

Cool choice of figures and kudos for the bases! As Tinker pointed out: Nazis are ideal villains as they are universally accepted to be the Bad Guys - Norman Spinrad notwithstanding. You can shoot them, decapitate them, disembowel them, even defenestrate them and not a single protest group will go on TV to vent their spleen about the portrayal or picket your corporate office for being insensitive. Robots are also an outrage-free source of villains, as are Orks, mutants and giant bugs. |

Guess ya could add zombies too. And, I like Robots as baddies also. In my flowing wealth days I bought up 'bout 40 of the wiener headed SW battle droids for use. Unfortunately they have been portrayed as bungling fools nuisance rather than a real deadly menace. I disagree personally in regards to Orkz, they are to me like the "Three Stooges" in Green Horde form... I love 'em. Now, I do have to admit that if they dress like Nazis then I have to deem 'em corrupted and disavowal any friendly attitude toward 'em. |

Those helmets are German, but the Imperial German spiked "PICKLEHAUB" Helmet of the Old School. I kinda look at those and wonder why the spikes and then I think of Lawn Darts and a book from the seventies, "Halbritter's Armoury" by Kurt Halbritter. If my mind isn't playing tricks with me in the book was an illustration of Germans holding down their Picklehaub's while being catapulted at enemies. |

Heh... I was aware they are the older Imperial German helms... Couldn't remember how to spell Picklehaub though so left it as is... Just take off the spike and they look more than good enough for Nazi orcs

Yeah, but to run Nazi Orkz spoils all the fun of running Orkz!! It's like playing a gang of Jihadist they're just not funny. |

You know, I never thought of the Orkz as funny.. I always envisioned a giant mob of massive humanoid creatures, raging through a battlefield under the influence of blood-boiling hatred, and a massive psychic orgasm (The 'WAAAAGH!'.), brutally dismembering, trampling, or generally gutting anything in their way. When everything in that area was dead, they'd either find another place, or turn on each other. ..Or maybe I'm just weird.. |

Well, there is more to 'em in the older codices. I think I have posted on a thread in the past my view of 'em. They're basically moronic drunken school boys with live ammunition looking for a fight... To me on the big screen they're best represented by the Mangalores from "The Fifth Element" |

The fact you find orks funny shows you were once a GW fanboy ![]() Orcs in every other setting really aren't fun creatures... Hell, Nazi orcs would probably fit in really well with more than a few settings I've played in the past. |

In the first rule book (you know the one where ALL the rules for ALL the forces where in it, non of this go and buy 20 other books nonsense!) they are pretty much as Dimitri see them (back in the day I used to regularly beat a larger SM force with my Orks). Then just before V2 came along they added a large portion of comedy and the daft battle cry. |
