This is the first time I have decided to travel on my own without being forced to by training commitments.
I went to the Mackay scale model expo which is held every May Day long weekend. I only took very few small models this year and they were all gaming minis. Little other PA stuff was there except:

My own entries:

Golg on his bike took out second, while the custom Hickmobile was third, which I felt odd as the latter is a far more involved build.
Surprisingly the two Star Wars fighters you see there didn't get any place.

I like that Mad Max variant, though I think it needs more rust and dirt.

So did that GW Ork War Truck take first? At my LGS there is a monthly painting contest. A fellow I know threw together the new GW Ork BattleWagon painted it without adding any nature of effort or detail work, he won first. I suspect it won due to it being a expensive new model the shop hopes to sell a few of, other than that reason. I wouldn't have given the model any placing in the top 10 because there was obviously no effort to the entry.

No, scroll sideways and there is an awfully yellowy looking space station that took first. The kustom trukk got nothing at all.
