as the flames sped along the ice they split it in two smashing into the Krak right where it hurt, in his breathing glands, screaming at the top of its lungs the krak dissapered beneath the water and everything went quiet....to quiet.
knocked out from the fall Beredon slowly was coming round, upon attempting to open his eyes momentarily he saw flashes of light and axes flying. the cold ice eventually bought him round. scratching around his area he look for his helmut which he seemed to have mis placed in the fall.
"Shit" he exclaimed. as he tried to stand and realized he had also broken a rib.
quietly he turned into an unlight corner of the cavern, putting his hands on his ribs he silently chanted "eco faneley ecto ratantum" a click and rip of flesh echoed throughout the cavern as the half dwarfs rib snapped back into place.
if the others knew there was a Half dwarf doing magic in their vicinity they would be attacking him not them.
suddenly he heared!
"Everyone lets do ahead count....WAIT where is beredo..." the voice was broken off as the krak screamed once more and burst out of the ice nearer to everyone than before.

grum quickly leaped over and engaged the strange sea creatures. he whirled his trident and stabbed one of the creatures with it and started using the speared body as a club as he hit the others constantly but it really just held them at bay as he called for some back up. when one of the braver ones coiled up and leapt for grum who barely dodged it hitting it with one of the exposed trident points for a painful scratch.

Being a sea creature is probably quite a good life... You can live of the scraps left by the Krak and occasionally you get some fresh morsels. Shame there isn't any health cover though.
Because having an axe embedded in your brain probably isn't too good for your career...

With a wrench of Bresak's mind, the axe came flying back into his grip. With a flick of his wrist, his axes became clad in lighting as he leaped forward into the fray.

"Now what?!"

"If you can, drop me on the beasts head!" Shouted Alkimos, as the Krak returned from the Depths, bellowing in fury.

"Here it goes!" Ironclaw let go.

Once again, Alkimos was airbourne. With only seconds to react, he aimed his blade down towards the Krak below. There was soft thud as his blade made contact with the scales of the monster, followed by a gargle as it began to pierce through the thick skin. The Krak screamed once more and began to thrash manically about, Alkimos gripping the handle of his Kantesh with all the strength he could muster, driving the blade deeper. However, as the Krak gave one last surge of energy, he was flung through the air, crashing to the ice below. The Krak was soon to follow, the Azab's blade having done enough damage.

walking over to the now suffering krak beredon spoke out
"F***cking trials, bloody gnome, damn krak" moaning as usual he pushed one of the smaller creatures who had now seemed to have lost all braveness into the water and pulled his elven blade from its sheathe.
casually walking up to the krak he stroked the suffering creature and the rest looked on.
"poor creature, poor bloody krak. shame you have TO DDIIIIEEEEEEE" he drove his knife into the kraks eye, it let out one almighty scream and blood showered over beredon and left him practically glued in his position.
"fecking blood" he moaned as he sliced his way out and began to rinse of the think gunge.
Out of no where the lights dimmed and the cavern was plunged into darkness.

"Who put out the lights?!?!?" Ironcalw squawks.

After dropping Alkimos he'd banked around to avoid hitting the wall, circled back, banked to avoi the opposite wall ... and then it had all suddenly gone dark. Quickly he summoned up a mage flame - a small thing, not much brighter than a candle. Fine for lighting fires but not much good for flying in total blackness - and wished he'd payed more attention to his parents magic lessons. If his nest-sister graniteclaw had been here it wouldn't have been a problem!

Head spinning, Alkimos had no idea where he was. Groping around in the darkness, he didn't want to move too far, in case he fell off the icey shelf. But he must find his Kantesh! He was bound to that weapon, and if he lost it.......

His thoughts were iterrupted by a grinding of gears, and a harsh rasp of metal, as a portcullis gate in the wall of the Pit began to draw open......

Ironclaw's wings were growing tired from maintaining a hover, and he could just about make out the iceberg with Alkimos & Bresak, descending slowly, he managed a rather ginger landing....

Bresak stormed off down the narrow tunnel, following close behind Beredon. With a twitch of his mind the portcullis twisted and degraded into sand behind his back.

"I'm going to rip that Gnome's head off."

" you know what bresak, you hold him still i think we should cut him into little PIEce"
he was cut off, a loud clattering ran down the tunnel and they all went diving for cover, at the end of the tunnel a wall appeared and started to pull them forwards,

"NOW COME TO ME< COME AND PROVE TO ME YOU ARE WORTH HIRING"

came the gnomes voice.

out of no where the walls dissipated, the wall pushing them stopped and they where standing in a tight claustrophobic room, the walls and floors where dusty and were adorned with books from the furthest reaches of the land.
"please sign here" came a high pitched voice from behind a pedastall at the back of the room
"if you wish to undertake this journey"
gingerly beredon edged forwards and the rest watched, he picked up the tiny quill and it snapped in his hand
"oh, any mark will do" came the voice.
pullinghis knife he gouged the page lightly, with which action he turned and said
"see, no trick" to the rest of the team before dissipating into green smoke.
"its ok!" came the voice "i assure you he is ok, now, who is next.......

Bresak waved his hand, a small green rune appearing neatly at the top of the page.

He also disappeared in a puff of green smoke.

"Grmph" Ironclaw shuffles forwards, not fully being able to move in the small study "I hope there's more space on the other side of that teleport spell than there is here!" he calls towards the pedestal, as he carefully inks one of his foreclaws and dashes Ironclaw, second hatched son of Stormfeather in flowing script across the form.
And Vanishes in a rather large cloud of green smoke.

Removing a small vial of ink from the depths of his robe, Alkimos signed the page with the Symbol of Alakesh.

The world flashesd green for a second and then the solid green broke into smoke and started to roll away. Ironclaw found himself on the ridge of a low hill, looking out over an open steppe.

Ironclaw recognised it as the Verdon fields, the great battlefield where the last war with the Eastern kingdoms was won by the legendary General Karas Von Helden. In the far distance, a storm was brewing over the Presiendorf Mountains. Strange flickers of light played amongst the clouds - oranges, reds, golds - a sure sign that the natrual order had been disrupted. Even across the emptiness of the fields, Ironclaw couple feel it tugging at his magical senses. For such a large storm, something truly strange must have happened.... something like the Zenelesians breaching the fabric of the wrold from their other realm.

Looking back across the hilltop, Ironclaw could see the others standing surveying the vista. "Well, I guess we'd better see about finding some shelter to camp in for the night. That storm looks to be getting closer, and I don't want to be stood on an open, undefenceable hill when it reaches us. Especially not given where we are..."

Ironclaw beat his wings whilst leaping forward over the ridge of the hill - the wind caught and he soared upwards, over Beredon, and out across the steppe...

The Bleak landscape lay before Alkimos as he trudged his way down the hill with the others.

"We're probably better off camping near there" He mentioned, gesturing to a burnt out copse of trees further down the steppe. "Gives us shelter, and crude defence."

"However.." Looking up to the Sky, he yelled over the winds;

"Gryphon! What do you see?"

The storm was begining to close in, the rumbles of thunder getting closer by the minute.
