Okay, so I got busy today and pumped out a few pieces of terrain. Just need a few rocks and junk, some paint, et voila!

Here's what I have so far:

Nice! The Ruined walls remind me of Far Cry 2 for some reason.

Very nice work so far. I like the ruined walls. I look forward to seeing the finished models. Your making me want to make some more terrain now. :D

What are you using as a base for the ruined walls?

It's this fantastic dense cardboard a friend of mine gives me from his work. It does tend to warp a bit with PVA. Not bad for basing though, I use it a lot.

I actually kept working on them after these pics were taken so they look quite different now :) I am going to need some coarser ballast for the rocks and stuff, I think what I have is a bit too fine.

Anyway, they should look alright with a bit of paint on them! Thanks for the responses guys!

Add some blood stains to the walls! That generally looks good.

I hate you :P When I try to knock terrain up in an afternoon it generally looks rubbish...

Well done! Looking forward to seeing more!

Very cool Chris, very cool! The bar has potential, those walls look great!! I love the mesh windows and the stuff leaning against the walls too.

Ooh, very nice. The great thing I can see about the seperate broken walls is that you can either use them as a semi-complete ruined building as you have there, or you can just spread them out for some funky ruins :)
Where'd you get that plastic shotty the grunt is holding?

That'd be a plastic Delaque(sp?) so I'd assume it'd be from their kit..... right?

Whoops almost hit the "report" button!

It's actually from the plastic Goliaths that came from the original Necromunda boxed set. They come up on eBay every now and then. I scavenge the nasty weapons on them: best arms for shotties and such.

The seller I got them off was called "planet redboots".

You can pick up those plastic Goliaths pretty easily though.

Dont worry your not the first to have done that. :D Its okay, the moderators pick it up and we know if its a complaint or not. We have not had a real complaint. Yet. :D

From what I have seen those Necro plastics fetch silly money.

Thats a good idea, but we dont seem to have those crates here in the UK. The only ones I have seen are milk bottle crates which are a lot bigger and dont look as good. :( Besides the milk man doesnt like it when I raid his milk float for crates! :D

I think I've got some of those goliath bits left somewhere... I'll add them to the pile of stuff to sell after my exams are over....

I am seriously liking those walls... I have some similar ones I never really got started.. Hmm... maybe I should get to work on that?

But, I'll see how you do yours first!

Oooh... There has been some really funky stuff from GW over the years. I'd love it if they redid a decent plastic shotgun rather than this new scout thing that all their models are armed with these days... Tis silly.

There's some okay weapons on the new Necromunda gang sets, but some of the sculpts are plain horrible :/ weapons also out of scale etc... blech. Still won't stop me from using them though...

Thanks for the encouragement :) I still need to get some decent sand and rocks etc. But I'm already working on another edifice... a ruined combination of cork, balsa and corrugated cardboard (inspired by one of Ross' ones!), but that will have to wait a couple of days.

I have been painting a little miniature by the name of Iron Hand :D Remember him? Imperial Guard Colonel with a shotgun and plasma pistol, and half his body is bionics!

Oh great, another "Ross did this so I'll do it better" pieces, I ought to fly up there an slap you around :D Looking forward to seeing some colour thrown about in here.
Have you got a plan for all this, like build a heap then paint, or is it just as the mood hits?

Is Mr Ironhand (as opposed to Mr Ironside who we all know is awesome incarnate) set for the wastes or are you just teasing us?
