Danny has tons of very odd rabbits round his "hutch", his missus is constantly complaining over finding hares in her soup!

Cheers. There is tons more detail on it too. My bits box got a heavy raiding. With a bit of luck I might do a STALKER game this weekend and so get more pics and close ups of the detail.

Another bits of ruin that serves for defensive purposes.

As you can see a figure can set up a sniping or support weapon here.

The model is a bit of poly packaging on a CD, chopped up with a hot wire cutter. Lots of bits where added to finish it off. Quick an easy terrain.

Ya know pieces like this makes me want to fire up my wire cutter, but I'll need to wait until I have ventilation in the garage. I don't mind the fumes while gluing, but fumes from polystyrene makes me convulse on the floor too much

When surfing various urban exploration sites I occasionally found the odd moment were I could not even conceive what a bit of unusual concrete or building was used for. I have found this too in some of the industrial sites I have working in, especially the ones that had been in use for some years. There are also times like this in the Stalker game.

I guessed that the denizens of a post apoc world, especially in my time line 75-100 years after the event, would be even further confused by the things they found. So I tried to make one....

Here is the thingummy.....

So what was it?

It gives pretty good cover though. Hell it might even make a good campsite during those long over night wasteland jobs.

The rubble are bits of resin tile that Curtis from Ramshackle sold me.

I can see a fight on the horizon....in one corner we have Dawgie...are there any other takers? :D

I forgot to say what it is made from! Doh! It is a bit of poly packaging my mum kept for me on a corrugated card base (from a box). Textured paint sealed it and made it look more like concrete.

Simple and easy to make and it cost virtually nothing. Only PVA glue, sand, grit and a bit of paint.

Danny,

I appears like that recent piece is some sort of arena... If it had a cage I'd say it was the Thunder Dome

I like the thingummy! I've been on a few sites with similar random bits of mystery concrete, and this one looks like it would fit in perfectly!

Thingummy is definitely an architectural term... like pointy out bits! Joking aside, that's a very nice piece of scenery and I'd go along with Tinker - it could be the remains of a Thunder Dome.

So many ideas for what it was. I have seen sewage silos and gun emplacements that look like this too (there is a WW2 A-A/Shipping battery sinking into the beach a mile or two from here that is similar). It also reminds me of some sort of sink for pouring molten metal in.

If I put a cap on the centre hole it might even make a good lost missile silo. :D What ever it was it provides a good point to stop and camp as it is easily defended.

This here is a Armorcast Tech wall. The base is some GW basing thing for moving tons of minis about. Boo! It has a better life as a base.

I also got this made up out of scraps of foamboard.

Not the best ruin in the world, but ho-hum
