It is time to show off my recent creations for my wasteland towns:

Every town needs well. This well is inspired by the fallout 1 & 2 games.

Posted Image

Everywhere I have worked there has always been nissian style huts. A lot of them were built in the 1940's (and still stand today) to sort the tempory shelter problems of the UK.

Inspired by Fallout 3 I thought some mushroom cloud graffiti would be cool - difficult to acheive on corrigations! lol!

The wall is a plastic tamyia 1/48 one

I think the guy who lives here has issues...

Thank yee gentlemens. The Forum is a great inspiration for slogans and names. :D All my recent terrain is getting forum graffiti added. Want fame....send me minis and I will imortalise you on my terrain! :D

Just realised that the cover for the well is on upsidedown. It is removeable for flinging raiders down the well!

Those nissan huts have probally been there since the 1940's. There is a couple in most of the industiral sites (and military bases) I have worked at. Most are WW2 vintage and seem to last longer than your average council house! :D

I have just done a step by step guide to making the huts for the Combat zone Chronicles - seeing as I have a series of Pringles tube articles over there. I will post it here if there any one is interested.

Just when you though it was safe to return to the terrain threads.....

Here is another older model based on a place I worked in but Post Apoc'd up a bit. It is based on a insulated ships container that many ports have to convert the shore supplies to the ships when in port. Ours had been ripped out and was being used as a workshop. Welcome to Mad Dan's Electrical shack.

Even more stuff from my past.....

more shanty huts.....scared yet? Give up?

Posted Image
This hut is a bit of foam with balsa bits glued to it. It was the second bit of terrain I made on return to this wonderful hobby.

Posted Image
More uses for a pringles tube. This one was cut into 40mm slices and had corrigated car added to it. The roof is a cerial packet coned and tissue glues to it.

Posted Image
More pringles tube with balsa and lolly sticks.

A recent one, just to show that wargames terrain shouldnt cost the earth.

Posted Image
Its a 1/35 Revel WW2 outpost building that can picked up for buttons in many model shops. This one cost me £2.99. Thats the cost of one to two minis. Hell its not even the cost of a mini for some companies.

Posted Image
It comes with a base, sandbags, 2 ammo boxes, a crate, some grenades and a bren gun. The latter items where added to the bits box. The base had sand and clean kitty litter added. Then tufts of static grass. If you do have a go at this model then you will spend some time cleaning up flash lines. Also dont glue the roof on.

Posted Image
All I added was a 40K IG sandbags with a knife in them.

One with the top off. Fnurk!

I hated making that up as it took weeks, being the first fully detailed peice I have ever done. The tool bench is from a toy garage, the seats are cut up tamyia oil drums with putty cusions, the bed and desk is balsa and a store cabinet which came from a resin office set. The fun bit was researching the posters! Now you know why it took so long!

That is a closely guarded secret JAR! Which can be found here:

the nissan huts of doom or how to make them

They are easy to make and handy for everything post 1939. As I mentioned there are a few places I have worked where these have stood since WW2. Turns out they are tougher than most of the actual housing built since then and probally at a fraction of the cost. :D

Tell you what. In case of a mass-influx of amercians, i'll look into these huts. Now, onto to Britsh lessons.
