Sad isn't it! The one we're going to doesn't have any Devils, but the one in Ballarat (an hour the other way) does. |

Has the little tyke seen them? Because they are really cute. Cuddly too... Just don't let the kids see them at meal time. That just gets scary. |

The missus took the boy to the Melbourne zoo when he was just a toddler, but I don't think he'd remember it. |

Melbourne Zoo is really funky. I always try and make time to go there whenever I'm in Melbourne. You going to have time to do any more modelling this morning before your journey? |

Lol Trip was excellent! The missus, Sophie and myself had a ball, but my boy had a little trouble with the animals. He's autistic so animals are a scary thing to him (among a large list of other strange behavior issues), I mean after however many months he's finally accepted that we have a cat, he still won't go near it and tends to move if it comes too close, but he accepts now that it's allowed to live in the same house. So the zoo animals were a bit off putting for him. They had free range deer that were as friendly as, they'd follow you around looking for food. By this time (after about an hour wandering around looking at critters) Will had had enough and was really cracking the shits when he realised it wasn't his sister nudging him in the back but a rather friendly deer...... ![]() But apart from that, it was a great time, lots of cool animals. It was much bigger than I'd thought and there was alot of construction going on, new enclosures etc. Those Marmoset monkeys were awesome, they were so tiny! Like these: ![]() (I love monkeys )So we did the zoo, they had a Tassie Devil there Benny! But he was fast asleep so we didn't see him But we did get to see one set of Marmoset monkey nuts (Lisa ponted that out to me ) and one camel toe....Then we went for a drive in the arvo to get some tourist lunch and icecreams. So, needless to say, I didn't end up getting any terrain done, but a good day was had by all (when quized over the trip, Will still says he had fun and he liked the deer.... go figure). |

There were two enclosures side by side, one look abandoned, the other had the telltale tracks around it from a pacing animal. I did make up for last night a bit this morning with terrain, as well as some gardening but you don't need to see that... |

Motivation! Yay! lol... Yeah, I'm sitting here not feeling all that motivated. I keep going back and adding a few more drops of paint to this stupid commission but my motivation is minimal. So I don't blame you if you don't get anything done on a Sunday afternoon. |

Sounds like a fun trip Ross! I would like to see a Taz one day. How is Will after his massive beastie exposure? I take it you didnt see any Scousers then? A Scouser is a person from Liverpool in old Blighty (for those not of a commonwealth background - the UK). i.e. ME! I beleive there is a Scouse enclave in Melbourne where the lost from my city live (damn these local street signs - we turn up everywhere after a night on the lash). Look out for the really funny talking brits - they sound kind of part welsh, part irish and part the gods only knows!
Ahem - if you say that in either city Mr X it might get you hung! The Liverpool mob will be insulted that you called us Mancs (people from Manchester) and the Mancs that you called them a Scouser! In fact most people in the UK get insulted if you call them a Scouser! See the UK is still a hotbed of tribal tensions which hasnt changed much in the last 3000 years.
