Posts: 729 Group: Members Member #73 Joined: Mar 6, 2009	Aberrant released a new pdf for warlands that added the rules for infantry and some new unit types, so i got inspired to work on some hotwheels and whatnot. the car started as this: and after some grinding down of mold lines and filling and sanding the back window out of existance adding some stan johanson road warrior bits i ended up with this:I'm not too great at painting flames, but i thought i'd give it a go anyhow. Its not finished yet, i was thinking about adding another layer of lighter yellow to the front and i still need to finish up the guns and armor plates, then dirty the whole thing up.

Cannie! Posts: 729 Group: Members Member #73 Joined: Mar 6, 2009	if your refering to earlier on in the thread, almost but not quite. I make a paste of salt and water then daub it on then use a toothbrush to scrub it off. I never could get the hang of hairspray, it always made my models sticky.

Makes me want to go back to 20mm to do some auto combat games especially as Matchbox are making some sweet cars at the moment (I nearly came home with a load of them the last time I went shopping! ). Are the armour plates scratch built or part of a kit? They look good.

The plates are hand done with some scrap sheet plastic that a friend at a print shop gave me. the big plate on the back was converted from an aberrant rattler gun truck front ram Edited by Ironblood, Apr 20 2010, 10:36 PM.
