Dimitri what kind of glue are you using for these War Zone figs?? I've got a batch and it doesn't seem that any glues will hold... almost as bad as trying to glue 1/72's together.

I've had the best luck with cheap store-brand superglue from Fred's. The cheap stuff you get in packs of 4 in WalMart seems to work well too.

Testor's plastic glue doesn't do much of anything, and I get the idea most 'specialist' and 'hobby' glues would fit into that.

Tinker - I used some cheap Super Glue Gel. These minis like the EM4 Combat Zone minis are a cheap hard plastic and plastic glues wont touch it. Once I made the figures up and painted them I also added a coat or two of matt varnish as they can be a bit delicate.

I'm using the free sample pack of superglue I got from Filla-Glu at the moment, which includes a coloured superglue which works quite well (better than the superglue gel I usually use)......might be worth seeing if they will send you a free sample pack to try it out.
Obey the overseer and don't touch the tinned fruit.

And, I rise again!
Haven't had much time to paint, so my technique is a bit rusty, but, I finally finished up the Marksman, another Trencher, and a Trencher Sarge.
Didn't put much into the grunt; just enough to look decent.
The Sarge looks a bit chalky in places, and I probably should have highlighted to armor and cap one last time, but, he's good enough as is.
Tried a gradual blend with a final edge highlight on the Marksman's armor, but it looks kinda' funky. At least the base is nice.

Looking good, how many of those trenchers do you have painted up now?
The sun went down and the ground started sort of grinding.
A blinding light tore across the sky.
A cyclone swept the landscape and left it completely flattened out.
And several twirls of smoke unfolded like gigantic flowers.

The way the morning broke was quite unusual.

IB: About 17 of each faction. The Bauhaus have a slight edge with 1 more heavy weapon, but meh. I've got about 3-5 more fgures primed, but I'm going to wait to do any more after that until I get my hands on some GS. Greatcoat infantry calls out to me, and I want to sculpt, so 1+1=Badass.

Tink; Thanks man. Sometimes it seems like I haven't gotten any better at this from when I first started. Silly I know, but that's how it is.

Danny: Funny thing is, it was probably the simplest one I did. Cut the clip, trim it straight, glue it back on. Cut off the little bit on the front, and glue it to the barrel. Scope? Had some from a Spess Mahreeeeens battleforce from a year or so ago, so whammo-presto-glue-on-oh!.

Marksman: Some plastic mesh flat on the base, with fresh step kitty litter+superglue to build up the mound of grit/grime/funk. Bit of home-scratched barbed wire on the back for flavor.

Grunt: Some sandpaper cut to the bases' shape and glued on. Bit of kitty litter for rock scatter, and some clippings from a cheap synthetic house/craft paintbrush for the 'foliage'.

Sarge: Few lengths of roughed-up sprue, with kitty litter built up on top of it. Simplest of 'em all.

The trick to keeping the litter together is using superglue instead of PVA to apply it, and using cheap enamel spraypaint instead of hand-priming with acrylic.
