Nice use of the Warzone figures, i've always regarded them as pretty poor sculpts, but they look good....and rather a good idea for a 'Brotherhood of Steel' type faction, more like the earlier Fallout Brotherhood in that they're only interested in preserving tech and not being nice to the natives. Oh and its well worth taking Phonenikuz up on his offer, I'm more than a little inspired at the moment (trying to knock up a 'rough' settlement for my weekend game at the moment). I'm thinking of using these as Vault tech mining droids (the big ones at the back) with a little bit of re-painting.

I've been have a look at it and i'm thinking of using it as a bar/Inn/trading post sort of thing.....neutral ground for all sides (enforced by a couple of military droids), but still regular small skirmishes between rival gangs/traders etc. Or customers finding out they just be ripped of by my 'honest' trader. Add a few huts etc to the outside and i'm on the way to a small community. Now I just need a name..... Bushwacker Bob? Honest 'It's a dud' Ernie? I take it you mean for the trader? In Deathlands a infamous travelling merchant (in a converted APC) was simply called "Trader". How about "Dealer Darren"? "Honest Dave"? "Big Deal"? One thing about post apoc is many people take names or get nicknames from a incident or what they do or live. How about a parody name from a local supermarket, department store - or if you are in the UK your local corner shop. How about "Wal Mart's", "Sainsbury the Trader", "Muddy Somerfields", "Trader Woolie" (Woolworths RIP!) or some other name. For people from my home town there is also "Dickie Lewis'" (the Lewis's store in Liverpool had a naked staue of a man on the prow of a ship above the door - soon the locals christened him "Dickie Lewis" lol). In my ruins there is a ruined store "R.R. Arkwrights - Open All Hours" - which is a parody on a famous 80's British comedy series set in a corner shop run by a miser. |

Hey, it's the mutiebar kid... Thanks. I like the idea for billboards by the way. Back on the Thread topic.....Phoenikuz are you doing a enclave style faction or do the Huntsmen already fill the generic bad guy role. John Edited by Earl of the North, Jan 30 2009, 11:39 PM.

Hehe - great idea for snack names! I'm still working on some product names from the few surviving Mega Corporations (so you thought a couple of atomic bombs would stop capitalists? Pshaw!). If anybody's got an idea for a name for plantfolk, let me know

Back off Thread topic again. I'm looking for village/town names for my factions to interact with......so far i'm thinking of using Bartertown (home of the various traders moving around the wastes) and Halfcircle (built on a semi-ruined dam, trading semi-fresh water to the other groups). John |

For plant men the only thing that jumps into my head at the present is "Green men". As I am off to bed soon no doubt something will pop into my fevered mind. Wasteland settlements....I got lots..... How about Damnation for the Dam? From Fallout 3: Griderview, Megaton, Rivet city....and no doubt more. Fallout: Junktown I have Dumpsville, Trader town, Ahnk City, Liberty city, Zero City (from Deathlands), the Stadium, Sequeena, Radivostok, Ripper town, Freedomville, Milton Hole, Schmitts Town, Two Dogs (It was called three dogs but one died. Then the other died and someone pointed out to change the name to one dog or just "dog" was plain stupid), Ash city, Sludge Town...there is more someplace. Another food trader/cafe in my setting is "Sam & Ella's" Road kill a speicality!

Hmmmm.......Damnation.........I'll use that, except I'll go with Damnation Falls (since I see it having waterfalls in the ruined parts). I like Rivet City, mainly because the idea of a settlement in a beached wrecked aircraft carrier is kinda cool... John |

Wow - they look good. I like the walkways. Lots of rivets and bits of metal junk and wood would make this a great peice.
