Me too! What are you planning? Camo or standard field grey. The field grey would be easier for batch painting. I know how you feel, I have 20 or so IG I am painting up as Firefly/Serenity Purple Bellies. Man its hard work.

This is the one, on the right. I'd tried the white picket fence and kids play equipment on another piece: ![]() The Germans are rising on my to do list, especially as I'd finally gotten off my arse and converted one to be a Red Skull stand-in. Still not sure on the uniform yet, there's a beautiful late war Autumn cammo that I've got a tutorial in a military modeling mag, but it's on a 70cm+ sculpt and these are a damn site smaller. The other options are to do them in German grey or in the same style as my stand-ins, but I'm thinking I'll set them in a different uniform to mark them as more experienced soldiers, better trained etc. |

Ahh. Thought so. From your inspiration pic you did really well. But you're too clean with your painting (if thats possible). More muted reds, and darker colours would have come closer. But i still like the building though. It would go well with the childrens play ground to. Sounds like you're gearing up for another good go at your WWW2 anyway. Just wondering what rules you use for WWW2? Nuts!? |

Yeah, once I'd made the decision to put the building into my WWWII category I shifted the colours into the brighter comic book style to match the figures. I'm getting keener and keener to weird it up some more, mainly due to watching Batman on Saturdays and the X-Men on Sunday mornings ![]() For the rules, it was a modified Necromunda rules set, but I'm working on something a bit more 'computer game' like... |

Write your own? ![]() Work on a really nice set of unique Yanks or Poms and then paint up a heap of Nazi grunts and zombies. Do a whole Dirty Dozen kinda game. |

That kiddies paly area is ace Ross, really great looking stuff. As for the late war Camo, Artizan have some pant guides which may be of use, and I can't imagine that there isn't a 'this is how you paint ww2 german camo in 28mm' website out there somewhere! For the Aliied Heros, check out bolt action's characters/weird war stuff, as well as the artizan Thrilling Tales bits. Some of the Darkson designs single minis would make up to great hero's too |

I've got all the US hero soldiers I'll need for quite some time with the Eureka Dog Faced GI's, though I'm thinking I'll want some more generic US troopers as 'red shirts' in some games. The bad guys though do need some more meat, though thanks to the models I swindled from Dan I'll be able to bulk that out with 15 men plus the Red Skull. I need/want some more supers, evil Nazi priests and warlocks, demons, summoned alien beasts, open portals with tentacles reaching out..... evil stuff is always more fun than good guy stuff

Have you thought about trying your hand at sculpting? Or maybe hunting down some Cult of Cthulu miniatures? |

Yes too both accounts, tentacles from portals can't be hard to do, neither would horribly disfigured mutant genetically altered freaks.... or so I imagine.... |

You could try sculpting accurate historic miniatures and if you screw up a grunt just call him a mutant
