That's the way I was going with a glass effect, plus if it goes milky with super glue it won't matter as glass tends to get hazy and grubby if it's been left untended for years or there's a lot of dust about (I have a partly disassembled car that's been gathering dust for the last couple of months in the carport...).

Presumably mis-spelt barricades?

Aahhhh, that would make sense, I'd thought it was some fancy architectural phrase.

They are some pretty cool poses, especially the officer emoting the halt or stop. Are the sculpts getting a bit better? Has the rest of the Pulp stuff been released yet? Or are you the only one with them, i've looked but couldn't find the WWW2 stuff.

Sculpts getting better? Not sure, I'm the kinda guy that if I like the model I like it, I'm not too phased on how it's sculpt.

I don't think any of the pulp stuff has been officially released, from what I understand though the G.I.'s were taken to shows where they were available to purchase.
I'd thought that January was their release date, but by the look of it Nic's waiting until the whole lot's done.

Well, you may remember in my self inflicted terrain challenge a few weeks ago I did up a weatherboard house. Now comparing it to the ones from Fallout3 where I'd gotten the inspiration, I realised it just wasn't the same, but it did look like it belonged in the 30's or so. So I thought it could suffice as a hut in WWWII scenarios, simple. So, I painted it:

Wow, that looks great!

Keep in mind that 50 years or so after the apocalypse, most folk outside a dome/vault/base/redoubt/etc. would be stuck with technology from the AD1850's or earlier as all the pre-fall ammo is gone/rotted, all the rechargeable batteries have stopped working, all the refined oil is used up and the engines that burned it are nothing but hefty paperweights. A wooden house like that would fit right in to such an environment. So make sure you befriend a carpenter and someone who works at a steam railway before the nukes start flying. :(|;):

Oooh, very nice :)
Have you considered grabbing some generic 28mm WWII to mix in with your weird stuff? Cause there are some great ranges out there well worth a look at.

There are some absolutely fantastic ranges out there! I've got some from Dan that I need to paint up, they're all based and undercoated, but they're batch painting and I've been putting them off for months now...

The different colours inside and outside the building really help make it. Chimney is very cool. And there is enough level space to place your minis' without them falling over. Shame it didn't land on target compared to your inspiration, but hell, it's a great weatherboard. I'm curious about the pic that gave you the inspiration though. Can you post it so we get an idea of what you were going for?
