Damn it Xander, why didn't you read my mind and suggest a vertical split earlier, that would have turned out cool!!

The colours are a little light which to me just feels like she should be on the good side, though I did Blitzen in the same colours yet she looks like a big angry Nazi chick, go figure.

The brainwashing and split personality ideas are brilliant, but I'm going to change the flames in the morning for a light green as it'll suit the red and black better, then I'll decide what sort of 'feel' she has as to which side of the fence she sits or if she sits on both sides.

EDIT: Sorry, the base is mdf board cut with a holesaw and sanded down a tad on the edges. The other big guys use metal washers (actually they all use metal washers, it's just the size that varies).

When I went to be last night (it's 8am Sunday morning here) I contemplated painting her with a vertical split like Dan suggested, but I came up with her background.

Third generation American, Stacey Kemp lived an unexciting life until a package arrived for her by mail one day. Of German heritage, her bloodline was completely Aryan, although her father, grandfather and great grandfather were all American citizens, her grandfather married a German girl as did her father. Perhaps that is why she received the package with the letter written in German and signed with the letters "R.S.", perhaps not.
Either way, she opened the package and found two spiked metal bracelets and a metal studded collar. Thinking it odd she opened the clasps and put the three items on. Vibrations rolled through her body as the clasps melted so that the bracers and collar became seamless. She started to panic as her clothes burst into flames to be replaced with a black and orange jumpsuit.
Then she felt the power! The inner fire that now burned inside her!
Seeking help she ended up with the American division of paranormal affairs and became a fighting member of the Ally Heroes forces.
Always at the back of her mind she wonders who this mysterious "R.S." is and why she ended up with the metal bands of power.

I'd almost be tempted to let us do our own 'character' minis, then put up a guide describing how we did them - that way we can decide who 'we' are... Of course, nothing to stop other people doing minis for/of each other too!

It could also be done for the RPGs...(I was contemplating sitting down and doing the characters for House of the Rising dead anyway...)

Nice work Ross (oh btw - it was Xander's idea not mine! lol!).

How about Pyrowytch for a name?

The character minis are a great idea - I already have one or two satirical minis in my PA collection (one based on my good self).

For a WWW2 superhero I think some a werebear type character (a man who changes into a bear) - or perhaps a some sort of ancient celtic warrior lord trapped in a fairy mound and released to save the mother Britain (see Slaine, celtic fairy tales or Hellboy 2 for inspiration).

no heres what i was thinking.....

A High school stundet from the Futere, while he was playing a Video Game, he got sucked into a portal o th WWW2 Unieverse. With only his clothes on his back, and his controller, he weas found by a old Birtsh lt, who looked to be half frozen, and brought back to a base, where he learned that the Controller for his ps3, could control people in this world.

Special Rules:
Only able to carry Pistols or a Rifle
If you carry pistols, he cn meduim-ish aroumr.
And, the Controller.

It can make him Control certian things or people. However, it is fincky at the best of times, and you hav to roll a dice to see if it will work, or if it needs new batterys. Roll a die, and if its 1-4, it works. 5 or 6, it doesnt work, and he has to spend that shooting phase putting new batterys in.

Hows that?

I must have been thinking of you while I was typing Dan, sorry about that Xander.

I'd though of a big guy called Firbolg, IIRC it's celtic and they had two 'ends.' One they were mythical and left the land when the other fey creatures did and the other was thet they were mortals.

But... I was going to have him like a D&D Firbolg, able to change shape to human sized or back to his giant self.

Some vamps and werecreatures are a must I think, AE-WWII stuff looks sweet!!

JAR, the batteries in the 40's are different than the future (or now I think).... ;)

"Schrodinger's Cat, the 1935 thought experiment which developed the idea of quantum entanglement took human form at the start of WWII when a German scientist began work on Quantum teleportation, hopefully aiding the Reich to expand. Whilst working on a device, the machine backfired, causing him to be trapped in a state of permanent entanglement. Neither alive nor dead, he exists as an ether between states. This allowed him to become one of the Reich's most able spies and assassins. However, despite this being his greatest strength, it is also his greatest weakness. Whilst existing in the "dead" state, if observed for too long, he may stay permanently deceased."

Or something like that. If anyone saw the Dr Who episode with angels of stone that moved when unobserved, they apparantly "worked" on the same principle. I Kinda have an image of the Matrix Twins that worked for the Merovingian when they were all "ghost state".

I am very familar with the Irish legends that have the "Firblog". Oddly nothing much is mentioned about them - they are quite primevil. The name translates (in old Irish) as "Men of the bag" or "Men of the spear".

Perhaps the Fomoire would be more suitable as they where more magical and not all of them hated the Tuatha De-Dannan (they would be a even better choice)/mankind (despite the charcters in Hellboy2 hating manking).

Another way is go more Pictish and have the character feel no pain and have the abilites of his tribal totem.

Time machines are a great way to include historical characters or maybe dimensional machines that allow creatures from other planes of exisitance. Angels and demons are a good choice as is vampires.
