|Interests||Im an old school gamer. Started back with AD&D in High School in 1982. Went through Chaosium Runequest but ever since I've been hung up on the FGU Aftermath! rules system. I was at one stage a pretty prolific writer for this and was running some pretty epic scale campaigns.
Having had a family and being too stressed at work I recently I started looking for some me time and started the odd RPG session with some buddies when I overnight in London for work. This got my juices flowing and I started painting miniatures again for the D20 D&D game. In buying some of these I discovered the massive selection of excellent quality miniatures now available for Modern and PA games.
I have really enjoyed this Forum, Matakishis Tea House and Vampifans Blog.
For the new year we have recruited some new, well actually quite old blood, players and we are going to kick off the Aftermath! campaign again. However this time I've been inspired to provide a lot more props and scenery and I have recently gone on a spending spree that I may not have been entirely honest with the wife about. Years of PA game starvation coupled with a glut of fantastic items. What ya gonna do?
I recently raided Reaper, EM4, Statuesque miniatures, Mystic Spirals, Futurewars and revisted old friends at Hasslefree.
I have a significant number of buildings from Garden of War up in the loft and have bought a whole lot of cork tiles for less derilict areas. Cheers for that idea Matakishi!
Ebay has scored me some great scale vehicles and then also those supposedly 28mm Battlefield Evolution ones that I will have to put straight back on the Bay.
So I'm currently building and painting like a demon.
