Ah, Route 807. Not that I would know what it feels like. Do you?
Never been here before either, huh? Yeah, the routes are a bit off. It isn't from Point A to Point B like the old days. Now it's from Point A to either Point B, C, or D, and only C gets you anywhere else.
But enough of this idle chitchat. The Inquisitor is attempting to capture...an egg?
Spoiler: click to toggle Embegg F Name: Embegg Level: 1 Ability: Flame Body Stat/Amount/EVs/DVs HP: 12/0/0 Atk: 6/0/0 Def: 6/0/0 Sp.Atk: 6/0/0 Sp.Def: 6/0/0 Spd: 5/0/0

The Inquisitor didn't even waste time sending out a Pokemon. He simply used one of his Great Balls and instantly captured it. He named it Zion. Hm. It would be nice if we could tell the gender of it from the outside...
He's searching around for other objects of note as he walks. I bet you 100y he misses the TM for Brine.
...
Well, joke's on you. I'm a ghost, remember? He lets out Sarhm and teaches him Brine. Almost on cue, a Vulpix appeared to do battle. Let's see if Brine can save him.
Spoiler: click to toggle Shellos M Name: Sarhm Level: 4 Ability: Storm Drain Stat/Amount/EVs/DVs HP: 20/0/0 Atk: 8/0/0 Def: 8/0/5 Sp.Atk: 9/0/0 Sp.Def: 9/0/0 Spd: 7/0/0

Vulpix F Level 9 Ability: Flash Fire HP: 25 Atk: 12 Def: 12 S.Atk: 14 S.Def: 16 Spd: 16
Vulpix wastes about as much time as The Inquisitor. She's already leapt into the air and fired a spray of Embers at Sarhm. For an attack that Sarhm resists, that dealt a fair amount of damage. Seriously, 7 damage. At their strength, that is a lot. However, it's not as much as what Sarhm just did with Brine. Vulpix got slammed into a tree from the seemingly endless torrent of water coming from Sarhm's mouth. 14 damage is nothing to scoff at.
So we're at:
Sarhm: 13/20 HP Vulpix: 9/25 HP
She's pretty egotistical. Here's a little fun fact for you: A Vulpix her level already knows Roar. She could end the battle by scaring away Sarhm. However, instead of doing that, she's gonna try to knock out Sarhm despite a type disadvantage.
Well, much to her chagrin, her Ember left Sarhm still standing. Crawling. Whatever. She's out of strength to resist, and man, Brine attacks are simply merciless. 22 damage...ouch. I felt that. Did you?
In any case, Sarhm got 81 exp for that. Pretty good.
But before The Inquisitor can call back Sarhm, a Pichu appears. He figures that since Sarhm used Brine, a Water attack, he must be weak to Pichu's Thundershocks.
Pichu M Level 9 Ability: Static HP: 22 Atk: 12 Def: 7 S.Atk: 11 S.Def: 11 Spd: 15
Yeah, I don't know why, but the Pichu is trying to use Charm. See, this would normally be an excellent strategy. He realizes his defense is weak, so he is attempting to cover up that hole.
However, while the Charm worked, it also failed at its purpose: To lessen the Mud-slap. So, our round 1 results?
Sarhm: 7/20 HP, Attack-2 Pichu: 16/22 HP, Acc-1
Any respect I had for the Pichu's intelligence is gone now. Most, if not all, trainers would immediately stop attempting a futile strategy. This Pichu is still trying to Charm Sarhm into doing less damage. That's not going to keep his Mud-slaps from smacking Pichu around.
Sarhm: 7/20 HP, Attack-4 Pichu: 10/22 HP, Acc-2
There are some mysteries about the world of Pokemon that I will never understand. For instance, how a mud-covered Pichu can STILL be seen as charming, how said Pichu is still trying to do that, and how it still takes effect on a member of the same gender. Yeah, you know what? Go Sarhm. Beat that Pichu silly.
Sarhm: 7/20 HP, Attack-6 Pichu: 4/22 HP, Acc-3
Pichu attempts a Thundershock now, confident his strategy did some good. Unsurprisingly, it misses horribly. Sarhm's last Mud-slap sends Pichu into the nearby stream. At least the mud's out of his eyes. Good thing he can swim. Sarhm gained 54 exp.
How exactly do I put these things into numbers? I have no idea myself. I don't think it makes a difference to us directly, but maybe it affects someone else...
The Inquisitor has found another item nearby where Pichu tripped; a Wide Lens.
Wait, a Wide Lens? As in, glasses of sorts? Who leaves these things lying around?
He's setting up his tent now. That's not too bad an idea. You have a tent, right?
You don't?
Well, start searching for suitable materials to make a tent. You'll need to use this a lot, I can tell.

Nice job on your tent. A+.
Anyways. It looks like The Inquisitor is going to train here for a bit. Could be why he bought so many Potions. Wonder how he's gonna do this.
My question is answered. He's found another person dressed in mage clothes to target...oh wait. He sent out TWO Pokemon. A double battle. This will be good.

Zangoose M Level 11 Ability: Immunity HP: 37 Atk: 30 Def: 18 S.Atk: 18 S.Def: 18 Spd: 24
Wow. Those Gligars are so obviously caught from the wild. The trainer's yelling at them to use Poison Sting on Sarhm, but they have no idea what a Beldum is, so they used it on Titan. The first Gligar pays for this mistake with a Take Down to the gut for 10 damage. That's...kinda disappointing. I mean, come on. You've seen Titan at work, you'd expect big damage. At least Sarhm's picking up the slack with another Brine attack. Geez, 14 damage hurts.
Titan: 31/32 HP Sarhm: 22/22 HP Gligar 1: 11/35 HP Gligar 2: 35/35 HP
The Gligars are following the train of thought that if something doesn't work, it's because you're not using enough of it. That only works in some cases. This is one of those cases where it'll get your ass kicked. Titan mixes things up and slams into the second Gligar as the first gets washed away by another Brine.
Wait, he's got a Zangoose?
This could get ugly FAST.
Titan: 30/32 HP Sarhm: 22/22 HP Gligar 2: 25/35 HP Zangoose: 37/37 HP
Fast as hell, Zangoose already landed a hit on Titan. That's one hell of a Scratch mark. See how far that went? 7 damage is pretty impressive for a physical attack against Titan. Sadly, his Gligar partner still hasn't figured out Steel is immune to Poison. At least that Poison Sting was his last. Titan plowed into him, and as he started to recover, Sarhm shot another Brine at him, throwing him into the stream as well. Dang, that's claimed two Pokemon today.
Titan: 22/32 HP Sarhm: 22/22 HP Zangoose: 37/37 HP
Now it gets tricky for them. Zangoose can do some massive damage if they let him. Immediately Zangoose tacks on more damage to Titan. He looks pretty angry. Good thing for Titan too; a Swords Dance would let Zangoose rip through it. Titan goes ahead and smashes down on Zangoose's head for 15 damage, while Sarhm changes tactics and uses a Mud-slap on Zangoose. It only dealt 3 damage, but the drop to Zangoose's Accuracy just might save Titan some more damage.
Titan: 13/32 HP Sarhm: 22/22 HP Zangoose: 19/37 HP, Acc-1
Zangoose lets out a shout before slashing again at Titan. Titan smashes into Zangoose yet again. Really, they take amazing amounts of pain. Zangoose breaks a smile, as he thinks he can win now.
What Zangoose failed to take into account was that Brine hits harder than Mud-slap. Into the stream Zangoose goes, as Sarhm expels his fourth Brine at him. KO! As the mage wannabe drops 1100y in his haste to run away, Titan and Sarhm gain 254+194=448 exp.
But before The Inquisitor can do much, a swarm of Cacnea attack! The Inquisitor deploys Shrapnel and Sorris to do battle with them.

The Inquisitor shouts at Sorris to attack quickly. She's pausing...
Whoa! That was fast! That didn't look like a Peck attack, and it hit that Cacnea much harder than one, too! 16 damage! Geez! The Cacnea all decide that powering up their only STAB option is a better choice than Poison Sting overuse, so they all use Growth. Shrapnel Tackles the first one and adds on another 6 damage. Our round 1 results?
Sorris: 21/21 HP Shrapnel: 24/24 HP Cacnea 1: 6/28 HP Cacnea 2: 28/28 HP Cacnea 3: 28/28 HP Cacnea 4: 28/28 HP Enemy Team: S.Atk+1
The Cacnea continue to grow, grow, grow. What is this, Power Rangers?
What's Power Rangers? Before your time, kid. Before your time.
In any case, Sorris changed targets and sent Cacnea 2 sailing backwards. Ouch. Shrapnel chucked himself at Cacnea 1 like the living grenade that he is and bonked Cacnea for exactly enough damage to KO it.

While Cacnea 4 was hellbent on getting MAXIMUM POWER, Cacnea 2 and 3 decided to attack now. Cacnea 2 was picked off by Sorris, who was really starting to get good at fighting. I didn't expect the crybaby to be doing so much damage. Did you? Cacnea 3 uses an Absorb attack on Sorris, however. Yeow. 6 damage. Another Tackle from Shrapnel...
Sorris: 15/21 HP Shrapnel: 24/24 HP Cacnea 3: 22/28 HP, S.Atk+2 Cacnea 4: 28/28 HP, S.Atk+3
Before Cacnea 3 could attack again, Sorris slammed into his face with her beak. Cacnea was too busy staggering backwards from the attack to use Absorb, and Shrapnel dropped the cactus with another Tackle. Cacnea 4 continued to grow...and grow...
Sorris: 15/21 HP Shrapnel: 24/24 HP Cacnea 4: 28/28 HP, S.Atk+4
The last Cacnea cackles as he continues to grow. Sorris is getting a tad irritated, as is Shrapnel, and a combined attack from them later puts Cacnea 4 in dire straits. He could do some damage now, but will he?
Sorris: 15/21 HP Shrapnel: 24/24 HP Cacnea 4: 6/28 HP, S.Atk+5

Sniff...
You mean to tell me the wild Pokemon had a meeting, expelled the stupid ones, and now there's only smart wild Pokemon left in the route?
THERE MAY BE HOPE LEFT FOR THIS WORLD!
Let's see how they fare. Ten Digletts are attacking Titan and Zion.

Wait, they're attacking two at a time? And not four at a time?
I had such high hopes...
Titan gets hit by two Scratches, doing 6 damage total. How they Scratched Titan, I will never know. Titan flies farther into the air, then slams down headfirst on the first one. That Whack-a-mole attack right there dealt 28 damage. Consider that Diglett whacked.
And it looks like Zion used Harden. Hm. A living, sentient egg. It's really quite interesting. I coul-
Fine, round one results.
Titan: 23/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+1 Diglett 2-10: 20/20 HP
Titan looks like it's wearing itself out fast. Being as Take Down is its only move, it's more of a sprinter and not a long distance runner, you catch my drift? Anyways, the Digletts go for more Scratching. Titan goes for more heavy-bodied downward smashes. Really, that has to HURT. Zion goes ahead and Hardens again.
Titan: 14/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+2 Diglett 3-10: 20/20 HP
The mole men are at it again, with two more Scratches. At this rate, Titan won't last another round. Another double-edged crash into the third Diglett, and some more hardening by Zion, and this looks grim for The Inquisitor.
Titan: 5/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+3 Diglett 4-10: 20/20 HP
...right. I totally knew he had Potions. I swear. The moles take two more hacks at Titan, and Titan takes another smash to the fourth Diglett.
Titan: 16/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+3 Diglett 5-10: 20/20 HP
You know, when you factor in Potions and stuff, it's kinda boring redescribing everything to you when nothing new happens. It's not like someone knows Metronome, and I'm really not in the mood to sing or crack a joke or what have you. Some Scratching and Take Downing and Hardening of shells later...
Titan: 7/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+4 Diglett 6-10: 20/20 HP
You know, since we're gonna be together so much, it'd be nice if I could get to know you a bit better. I already gave you the abridged version of my backstory.
Oh yeah, Potion, Scratch x2, Take Down.
Titan: 18/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+4 Diglett 7-10: 20/20 HP
Wait, what do you mean you won't say whether you're male or female? I already know, what's the harm in saying it? And why not divulge your age? Man, you're no fun at all, you know that?
And it's more of the usual. Scratch x2, Take Down, Harden.
Titan: 9/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+5 Diglett 8-10: 20/20 HP
At least the battle is almost over. I'm starting to get tired. No, don't ask how a ghost gets tired. I bet you're tired too. Some more Potion, Scratch x2, and Take Down action later...
Titan: 20/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+5 Diglett 9: 20/20 HP Diglett 10: 20/20 HP
Yeah, just two more Take Downs after this one and it's all over. I never noticed how panicked the Digletts were. Did you notice? You ever wonder why they don't go for the trainers? Well, the usual attacks go off, which leaves us at...
Titan: 11/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+6 Diglett 10: 20/20 HP
Well, Diglett Scratches Titan AGAIN. So much for Diglett now. Titan goes for the Whack-a-mole approach and...
...
What the hell?! It MISSED! How the...but...wha...that never...why did Zion Harden again...but...
Titan: 8/32 HP Zion: 12/12 HP, Defense+6 Diglett 10: 20/20 HP
Diglett gets in another Scratch, and Titan goes for the Whack-a-mole one last time. WHAM!
...
Titan's not getting up though...
...wow. The thing fainted itself from the recoil. It's...what...but...nothing makes sense anymore...
Titan got 468 exp, while Zion got 572.
Yeah, set up the tent again. My ethereal brain hurts too much to do anything else today.

VS
Diglett M x10 Level 9 Ability: Sand Veil HP: 20 Atk: 14 Def: 9 S.Atk: 11 S.Def: 13 Spd: 22
The mole men are at it again, with their Scratches. This time they're targeting Zion for some reason or another. 6 damage apiece. YEOW. That egg better do some Hardening or it's gonna get served sunny-side up. At least Sarhm helps by washing away a Diglett with Brine for 23 damage. Zion goes ahead and Hardens. Smart egg.
Round 1 results:
Sarhm: 30/30 HP Zion: 17/29 HP, Def+1 Diglett 2-10: 20/20 HP
The two Digletts take two more Scratches at Zion and-
Hold the phone. The second one to attack (actually Diglett 3) got burned. Ouch. You ever get burned before? I remember that, because, y'know, THAT'S HOW I DIED. They only did 5 damage this time. Sarhm washes away the non-burned Diglett and Zion Hardens some more.
Sarhm: 30/30 HP Zion: 7/29 HP, Def+2 Diglett 3: 17/20 HP, Burned Diglett 4-10: 20/20 HP
Zion gets a Potion from The Inquisitor. I always wondered why the trainers he fought never used Potions. That would help them a lot. The two mole men Scratch Zion. The burned one only dealt 3 damage, while his companion hit for 4. Sarhm targets the unburned Diglett and washes him back down his hole with another Brine.
Sarhm: 30/30 HP Zion: 20/29 HP, Def+2 Diglett 3: 14/20 HP, Burned Diglett 5-10: 20/20 HP
This is becoming tedious again. You think it's just as tedious for The Inquisitor to do this as it is for us to watch? The moles take two more Scratches at Zion, and the unburned mole gets a free trip back to start courtesy of Sarhm Cruises. Zion Hardens again. Can it even attack?
Sarhm: 30/30 HP Zion: 13/29 HP, Def+3 Diglett 3: 11/20 HP, Burned Diglett 6-10: 20/20 HP
Hm? What was the world like back in my day? A pretty interesting question. Back then, we didn't have all the technological things of today, such as these Potions. The healing formula was still around, but we didn't have the bottles they came in, nor a way to mass produce them, so they were very rare. In addition, the Pope declared it heretical to use them.
Meanwhile the Digletts do 3 and 4 damage to Zion again, Sarhm washes the other other other other unburned Diglett down the drain, and Zion Hardens again.
Sarhm: 30/30 HP Zion: 6/29 HP, Def+4 Diglett 3: 8/20 HP, Burned Diglett 7-10: 20/20 HP
Who was the Pope? Your history is a bit off, kid. The Pope was basically the head honcho of the world, since during that period, the Church had such an influence over the known world, that getting on the bad side of the Church basically meant your days were numbered.
Also, Zion got a Potion, the moles Scratched Zion twice, and Sarhm took out another one.
Sarhm: 30/30 HP Zion: 19/29 HP, Def+4 Diglett 3: 5/20 HP, Burned Diglett 8-10: 20/20 HP
How to get on the Church's bad side? Disagree with them publicly. That was a pretty quick death sentence right there. The main problem, however, is that the Church deemed anything they didn't understand, or anything that contradicted their current belief, to be heretical. Progress moved at a Shuckle's pace, since even if you found out how to mass produce Potions, if you went public, you'd be extra crispy in a few days.
The moles take two hacks at Zion for a total of 7 more damage, Sarhm washes away the unburned one, and Zion Hardens again.
Sarhm: 30/30 HP Zion: 12/29 HP, Def+5 Diglett 3: 2/20 HP, Burned Diglett 9-10: 20/20 HP
So how DID the Church lose power? A series of events before and after my time set up a search for the actual truth that the Church hid. Did they get persecuted? Yes. Did they success? Yes. The Church gradually lost its control over the world, and eventually stopped becoming a controlling factor in the world.
The two moles inflict 3 damage apiece to Zion, Sarhm drops the unburned Diglett, Zion Hardens, and that burned Diglett faints from heat exhaustion. Damn...
Sarhm: 30/30 HP Zion: 6/29 HP, Def+6 Diglett 10: 20/20 HP
So, now you know a little more about the time period I lived in, and why it's not the case today. Maybe I'll share more with you later.
The last Diglett manged to deal 3 damage to Zion before Sarhm dropped him with a Brine. The Inquisitor: 2, Digletts: 0. Both Pokemon got 520 exp for their efforts.
The Digletts are gone. Looks like he's safe for-

Whoa. That was WAY too close. Lemme see what happened...
Holy crap, Shrapnel Selfdestructed! That did 42 damage to all of the Zangooses!
...and it KOed Spara, Sorris, and Shrapnel. Titan got away with a measly 15 damage.
Erm...wow. Titan gets 2072 1295 exp for surviving Shrapnel's attack. No joke.
And The Inquisitor is going back into the tent. Go figure.

Looks like the Zangooses have the right idea. There's ten of them directing a swarm of Cacnea to attack.
To stop them, The Inquisitor commands Zion and Spara to attack. This should be good; I don't even know how that egg can fight.
Spoiler: click to toggle Electrike F Name: Spara Level: 6 Ability: Static Stat/Amount/EVs/DVs HP: 20/0/0 Atk: 10/4/0 Def: 9/0/0 Sp.Atk: 12/0/0 Sp.Def: 9/0/0 Spd: 12/0/0

VS
Cacnea M x10 Level 9 Ability: Sand Veil HP: 26 Atk: 18 Def: 11 S.Atk: 18 S.Def: 11 Spd: 10
Spara immediately leaps...and misses the first Cacnea. That sucked. But what can an egg-WHOA! It shot freaking EMBERS out of its shell! That first Cacnea just burst into flames for 26 damage! DAMN, that is one hot egg!
...quit looking like that. Anyways, the second Cacnea aims, and fires a Poison Sting at Spara. Wait, Spara? An INTELLIGENT choice? This looks bad. That did 5 damage.
Round 1 results:
Spara: 15/20 HP Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 2-10: 26/26 HP
Spara stops for a moment, sparks, then fires a Thunder Wave forward, hitting the third Cacnea of the swarm square in the chest. Zion turns the second Cacnea into a BBQ. The third Cacnea is getting ready to attack...but it looks like his muscles locked up at the wrong time.
(JYAP note: I rolled a 1. Noob.)
Spara: 15/20 HP Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 3: 26/26 HP, Paralyzed Cacnea 4-10: 26/26 HP
Spara tries to Tackle the third Cacnea, and hits this time, for 5 damage. Zion sets the fourth one ablaze. Wonder how hot those Embers are. The third Cacnea points his arm at Spara, only for it to stop moving as he attempts a Poison Sting.
Spara: 15/20 HP Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 3: 21/26 HP, Paralyzed Cacnea 5-10: 26/26 HP
Spara tripped while attempting a Tackle. What horrible luck for the poor thing. Zion turned Cacnea 5 into a walking candle.
You know, they used to use people as candles in ancient Rome. I won't tell you WHO they used, though...
Anyhoo, Cacnea 3 still can't move. I wonder how it would feel to be paralyzed. It must suck, not being able to do anything you want...
Spara: 15/20 HP Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 3: 21/26 HP, Paralyzed Cacnea 6-10: 26/26 HP
So Cacnea 6 is shouting "LEEEEEEEEEEEEEROY JEEEEEEEEEENKINS!" and rushing Zion. He actually looks like he's gonna club the egg on the head with his arm.
Yeah, nevermind. I'm never gonna get that scream out of my head. Spara's Tackle hit, but Cacnea 3 pulled through and fired a stream of Poison Stings at Spara. Ouch.
Spara: 10/20 HP Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 3: 16/26 HP, Paralyzed Cacnea 7-10: 26/26 HP
Spara went for another Tackle on the paralyzed Cacnea, whose muscles locked up again. I'm guessing Zion was wondering if Cacnea 7 was cold. I don't think he'll be cold for awhile.
Spara: 10/20 HP Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 3: 11/26 HP, Paralyzed Cacnea 8-10: 26/26 HP
Spara leaped high into the air and landed, paws first, on Cacnea 3's chest. I think that Tackle went critical for 10 damage. Zion turns Cacnea 8 into a walking ca-oh, I did that one already. Cacnea 3 suddenly punches Spara off and fires a Poison Sting...oh wow. That one stinger went in too deep.
Spara: 2/20 HP, Poisoned Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 3: 1/26 HP, Paralyzed Cacnea 9: 26/26 HP Cacnea 10: 26/26 HP
Hey, waitaminute, that last Cacnea just jumped into the fray. What a dishonorable twit. The Inquisitor uses a Potion on Spara, and Cacnea 9 makes a good fireworks display, but Cacnea 3 got to attack again, and Cacnea 10's Poison Sting went critical. Geez, that's bad.
Spara: 2/20 HP, Poisoned Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 3: 1/26 HP, Paralyzed Cacnea 10: 26/26 HP
The Inquisitor used ANOTHER Potion on Spara as Zion turns Cacnea 10 extra extra crispy. Cacnea 3 got off another Poison Sting on Spara, though.
Spara: 12/20 HP, Poisoned Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 3: 1/26 HP
So Spara Tackles him into the stream. 550 exp for both of the two.
And now the first five Zangoose are attacking. Bad.

Actually, this seems to be the start of a pretty good fight. One Gligar is accompanied by two Cacnea. Can The Inquisitor's spare Pokemon turn this around?
It looks like it. Gligar 1 fired a Poison Sting at Sorris. The jerk. Sorris is crying, and Sarhm is trying to cheer her up. He did way more than the 5 damage inflicted. Poor thing.
...oh wow, he even poisoned. If looks could kill, Sarhm would have turned Gligar into a pile of ash. Sorris suddenly strikes Cacnea 1 for 22 damage, as Zion suddenly comes to life and spews crazy hot Embers at Gligar, inflicting 9 damage. That's all Sarhm needed, as a Brine from him adds on another 26 damage, precisely KOing Gligar. Nice super soaking action. The Cacnea use Absorb on Sarhm, though, and inflict some nasty damage - 13 apiece. This doesn't look too bright for The Inquisitor's Pokemon.
Sorris: 17/25 HP, Poisoned Sarhm: 9/35 HP Zion: 34/34 HP Cacnea 1: 4/26 HP Cacnea 2-5: 26/26 HP Gligar 2-5: 35/35 HP
Thankfully for them, the next Gligar is chickening out, so a Cacnea takes his place. The Inquisitor arrives just in time to use a Potion on Sarhm. Sorris divebombs the first Cacnea and handily disposes of it, while the second Cacnea bursts into flames for more than 26 damage courtesy of Zion's impeccable aim. Speaking of aim, it's in a shell. How does it see anything? The third Cacnea, the newcomer, starts to panic, firing a Poison Sting at Zion after seeing his comrade immolated. The good news for Zion is that it dealt 3 damage. The bad news is, Zion's poisoned.
Sorris: 14/25 HP, Poisoned Sarhm: 29/35 HP Zion: 27/34 HP, Poisoned Cacnea 3-5: 26/26 HP Gligar 2-5: 35/35 HP
Out of fear of Sarhm, the Gligars don't seem to be moving. Cowards, all of them. The Cacneas charge, and are promptly cut down as Sorris divebombs the third Cacnea, knocking him backwards. Sarhm lets loose a Brine attack, washing the Cacnea into the stream and dealing 19 damage. Zion fires some Embers in the way of Cacnea 4. He can't stop, and lights himself on fire. Smooth. The fifth Cacnea gets off an Absorb on Sarhm. Yeowch!
Sorris: 11/25 HP, Poisoned Sarhm: 16/35 HP Zion: 23/34 HP, Poisoned Cacnea 5: 26/26 HP Gligar 2-5: 35/35 HP
This could be tricky. The Gligars are charging now, and their Poison Stings inflict 4 damage apiece on Zion. Sorris takes to the sky, despite the poison's effects, and crashes down beakfirst on Cacnea 5. Sarhm and Zion team up with Ember and Brine to send Gligar 2 to a watery demise...
What do you mean, that's too grim? We all know Pokemon don't die here. It's assumed I meant he fainted.
Sarhm takes another Absorb from Cacnea 5, though, and the Gligars see their chance.
Sorris: 8/25 HP, Poisoned Sarhm: 3/35 HP Zion: 11/34 HP, Poisoned Cacnea 5: 4/26 HP Gligar 3-5: 35/35 HP
The Inquisitor manages to beat the Gligars to the punch by applying a Potion to Sarhm. The fast-acting antibiotic spray healed Sarhm enough just in time. Those Poison Stings did 10 damage in total. Sarhm is about to wash away a Gligar with Zion before realizing he's still in danger, and washes away Cacnea instead. Zion's Ember hits home, though.
Sorris: 5/25 HP, Poisoned Sarhm: 13/35 HP Zion: 7/34 HP, Poisoned Gligar 3: 26/35 HP Gligar 4-5: 35/35 HP
Again, the Gligars are quick to act, and switch targets to Sorris, who's choking back tears from the pain the poison is doing. Thankfully for her, The Inquisitor is quicker to use a Potion, and despite the 15 damage dealt, she's still in the fight, which is more than can be said for Gligar 4, who is tag-teamed by Sarhm and Zion and washed away.
Sorris: 7/25 HP, Poisoned Sarhm: 13/35 HP Zion: 3/34 HP, Poisoned Gligar 3: 26/35 HP Gligar 5: 35/35 HP
Gligar 3 is bickering at Gligar 5 and pointing to Zion, but Gligar 5 punches his comrade and points at Sarhm instead. True enough, The Inquisitor uses a Potion on Zion. Sarhm is riddled with Poison Stingers, but somehow remains unpoisoned. Sarhm washes away Gligar 3, while Gligar 5 is hit by Zion's Ember.
Sorris: 4/25 HP, Poisoned Sarhm: 3/35 HP Zion: 19/34 HP, Poisoned Gligar 5: 26/35 HP
It suddenly sinks in that three Pokemon took out his entire team. Gligar begins to panic, and fires a Poison Sting at Sarhm. Sarhm braces for impact...
...and Zion eggrolls into the line of fire and takes the hit. Aww...Sorris strikes from seemingly nowhere, and Sarhm ends the fight by blasting Gligar with one last Brine.
That was way too close. The trio gained 280+250=530 exp.
Panting, all of The Inquisitor's Pokemon collapse, except for Zion, who's an egg. He brings them back into the tent to rest.
That's not too bad an idea...Let's get some rest. Narrating that battle took a lot out of me.

I can see them sweating bullets now. They bicker over who's the bigger target and end up spraying Poison Stings at the entire team. Sorris took 4 damage, Sarhm took 5, and Zion took 4. None of them poisoned. How fortunate.
Now the home team strikes back. Sorris divebombed the leader for 7 damage, while Sarhm and Zion work together with Brine and Ember to knock out the second Gligar with their one-two punch, inflicting 28 and 10 damage, respectively.
Round 1 results are in!
Sorris: 26/30 HP Sarhm: 32/37 HP Zion: 34/38 HP Gligar 1: 28/35 HP Gligar 3-5: 35/35 HP
Some bickering among the Gligars led to them repeating their past action in an attempt to poison the team. They hit, but failed at poisoning them. The leader got hit by a Brine from Sarhm and fell out of the air in a spectacular fashion, while Sorris divebombed the third Gligar. Zion took a different tack and Embered the fourth Gligar.
I have a feeling these three will make a very good team.
Sorris: 22/30 HP Sarhm: 27/37 HP Zion: 30/38 HP Gligar 3: 28/35 HP Gligar 4: 25/35 HP Gligar 5: 35/35 HP
The Gligars at this point have given up the match, and are simply trying to inflict lasting damage. See how they're scattering their Poison Stings again?
It worked, too. Sorris got poisoned. That doesn't stop them from tearing through their lines. Sorris and Zion tag-team the fourth Gligar, while Sarhm washes away Gligar 3.
Sorris: 14/30 HP, Poisoned Sarhm: 22/37 HP Zion: 26/38 HP Gligar 4: 8/35 HP Gligar 5: 35/35 HP
The two remaining Gligars spread their fire amongst the two of The Inquisitor's Pokemon that haven't been poisoned. Sarhm falls prey to the poison, but Zion's shell is keeping it at bay.
That's boring. What isn't boring is how Sorris pulled a loop-de-loop and smashed that Gligar so hard, I think its armor cracked. Criticals hurt.
That said, this means Sarhm and Zion effortlessly finish the last Gligar. The team gains 210 exp.
And he's going back to rest again. That was boring.

That's odd. See Sarhm over there? Usually The Inquisitor's Pokemon are never seen without him. I wonder why he's all by himself.
Oh. He's level 11, so he should have Mud Bomb. Don't ask me how I can precisely calculate levels, or even what they are. The answers will do horrible things to your mind. So he's shooting out a Mud Bomb...then using Water Pulse. You know, if Water Pulse got used to fire the Mud Bomb-DUCK!
I told you to duck. Now you're knocked down with mud all over your face. You also did a perfect backflip from getting hit. That was pretty impressive, actually.
Yes, as a matter of fact I have to tell you that. Just trust me.
Anyways, you clean the mud off your face to see The Inquisitor engaged with another trainer. At least he doesn't have something that shoots Mud Cannons.

Snorunt F x2 Level 9 Ability: Snow Cloak HP: 28 Atk: 14 Def: 14 S.Atk: 14 S.Def: 14 Spd: 14
This certainly looks bad. The two Zangooses are Swords Dancing, and having Shrapnel explode here is tactically unsound. Titan throws itself at Zangoose, inflicting a mighty 26 damage. Shrapnel follows suit, dealing precisely 11 damage. Oh, man, the look on that Zangoose's face was PRICELESS. You should have seen him as he just realized that a pinecone knocked him out.
Oh. Right.
Titan: 40/43 HP Shrapnel: 26/28 HP Zangoose 2: 37/37 HP, Atk+2 Gligar 1-2: 35/35 HP Snorunt 1-2: 28/28 HP
I do believe that Zangoose is yelling profanities at Gligar and telling him to attack Shrapnel. The two join forces, and launch a Quick Attack and Poison Sting with an amazing amount of ferocity.
Alas, The Inquisitor saw this coming a mile away. Both attacks are deflected harmlessly off of Shrapnel's Protect. Titan punishes Zangoose for ignoring it with a punishing Take Down of punishment.
Yeah I'll shut up with that.
Titan: 37/43 HP Shrapnel: 26/28 HP Zangoose: 11/37 HP, Atk+2 Gligar 1-2: 35/35 HP Snorunt 1-2: 28/28 HP
Zangoose decides that since Shrapnel can use Protect, it's stupid attacking him. And there he goes, doing quite a number on Titan's metal hide. 8 damage is pretty impressive for a physical attack, y'know. Gligar fires Poison Stingers at Shrapnel, who takes a mere 4 damage. Shrapnel then bounces up into the air, where Titan catches him with the claw thingies on its back. It then proceeds to pitch Shrapnel into Zangoose. Ouch! Zangoose is struck right in the cranium and falls down in a daze. Titan then proceeds to get medieval with Gligar, inflicting 17 damage.
Titan: 27/43 HP Shrapnel: 22/28 HP Gligar 1: 18/35 HP Gligar 2: 35/35 HP Snorunt 1-2: 28/28 HP
The Gligars focus fire on Shrapnel, who takes 8 more damage. It doesn't look like the stingers can get through his skin. Titan and Shrapnel give Gligar 1 the old one-two and knock him out of the air with a combination of Take Down and Tackle.
Titan: 25/43 HP Shrapnel: 14/28 HP Gligar 2: 35/35 HP Snorunt 1-2: 28/28 HP
Shrapnel takes cover with Protect as Poison Stingers and a Powder Snow bounce harmlessly off of the barrier. Titan chucks itself at Gligar, and the battle's going into the endgame.
Titan: 23/43 HP Shrapnel: 14/28 HP Gligar 2: 18/35 HP Snorunt 1-2: 28/28 HP
While Gligar continues his assault on Shrapnel, inflicting 4 more damage, Snorunt takes a different approach and hits Titan with Powder Snow. Sadly for Snorunt it only inflicts 3 damage. A pity. Another Take Down and Tackle and Gligar is gone.
Titan: 18/43 HP Shrapnel: 10/28 HP Snorunt 1-2: 28/28 HP
...
Did it just...what...how is that...
Yeah, Titan just shot the bird at them. Two Powder Snows later, Titan has 6 less HP. Titan then proceeds to maul the first Snorunt for 33 damage while Shrapnel uses a Take Down of his own for 14 damage.
Titan: 12/43 HP Shrapnel: 7/28 HP Snorunt 2: 14/28 HP
It then dawns on Titan that it's faster. There is a satisfying CRUNCH heard as Titan viciously pounds down on the last Snorunt.
Titan: 9/43 HP
The trainer leaves behind 1100y as Titan and Shrapnel gain 142+388+254=784 exp.
He seems to be taking a break inside his tent now.

Rise and shine. He's leaving to head back to Sphariview.
Seriously, who named these towns? Do you know?
What, you want to know my name now? You don't even disclose personal information I already know! Why would I give you my name?!
