Welcome to a Lost World!
The Razor Reef is a natural phenomenon that has plagued the central seas for as long as sailors can remember. The reef itself is a ring of nearly invisible coral strong enough to sink any ship unfortunate to run across it. The reef is also surrounded by a nearly constant swirl of tropical storms, making air travel impossible.

Spotted Stampedes: ![]() Extreme Stampede Challenge! The Stampede Plains span for miles outside the reinforced walls of Apato Town where flocks and herds of Pokemon roam freely, typically joining into horrible stampede's the wreck havoc across the plains. These common stampede's make Pokemon catching and most traveling through the area nearly impossible. Though, these stampede's often included rare Pokemon, and rare Pokemon are just enough of an excuse for a group of daredevil trainers to form a challenge of sorts. This would lead into the Stampede Plains challenge. Fee: 500p Provided Gear: Motorcycle, 10 Pursuit Balls. ![]() Rules: Using a rented motorcycle, you and a guide will ride out onto the Stampede Plains, and find a flock of Pokemon. You will ride alongside the flock and attempt to capture a Pokemon. Due to the danger of this event, you are limited to one Pokemon per trip. When approaching a stampeding herd, you will be given a list of the five closest Pokemon available to catch. You then target one and the challenge begins. The challenge works similar to a normal battle, except size and speed become a limiting factor. At a moderator's discretion, you choose a Pokemon that can ride in the second seat, a Pokemon that can fly alongside, or a Pokemon that can run at a high speed. Speed becomes a major factor in a stampeding battle. When the fight starts both Pokemon begin with a speed count of 3. Should a wild Pokemon's speed reach 6, it will break off from the herd and flee. Should the speed of the wild Pokemon or your Pokemon reach 0, the battle will end either with the Wild Pokemon retreating into the herd due to intimidation, or your Pokemon losing too much momentum to keep up with the stampede. A Pokemon loses 1 speed when hit by an attack that reduces their hp by 25% of their total. A Pokemon will also lose 1 point of speed when hit by an attack that would reduce speed in normal situations. A Pokemon gains 1 speed each turn. A Pokemon also gains 1 speed when using a move that increases speed in normal situations. When catching Pokemon, you will be using a modified series of Safari Balls, called Pursuit Balls. The higher the speed of the target Pokemon, the higher the chance of catching the target becomes. For instance, during a chase, you encounter a Doduo with 40 hp. Your Daipalm rides along in the back seat and the battle begins. Your Daipalm critically hits the Doduo and deals 30hp. This would be 75% of the Doduo's total health, reducing it's speed by 3, making it 0. The intimidated Doduo would then retreat into the herd. Edited by Mechanicalmonarch, Sep 3 2009, 04:13 AM.
