The Battle Temple is a facility based on a very old building. It contains an elaborate system of floors built below the ground, and exploring these floors serves as the challenge of the facility. It functions similarly to the Battle Pyramid in Hoenn, except you go down instead of up. There is only one mode available to choose in the Battle Temple: Single Mode. In the Battle Temple, you will pick your usual team of 3 Pokemon. However, unlike the rest of the Battle Frontier's facilities, you will not be engaging a continuous string of trainers. Rather, you will be exploring the Battle Temple with certain key objectives in mind. The first time you enter the Battle Temple, you will be given a Temple Bag, which contains a Hyper Potion and an Ether. You can collect more items in the Temple as you go along. (If you are continuing a past streak, the Temple Bag will have the same items that you had on your previous streak.) You will progress through seven floors of the Battle Temple. Each time you enter a floor, you will be placed in a random location that consists of 25 rooms, which are arranged in a square 5 rooms long on each side. The adjacent rooms connect to each other (but not diagonally). You can move north, south, east, or west through the room. The maze is randomized each time you enter a new floor. In each floor, your goal is to find a Temple Artifact - a rare and valuable item - and then proceed to the stairs which descend to the next floor. You repeat this for all seven floors. In each of the 25 rooms on each floor, you will find, at random, one of the following things: ~Nothing. ~A trainer. The trainer has only one Pokemon, chosen at random. ~A wild Pokemon, between level 35 and 44. (The lower floors generally have higher-leveled Pokemon.) ~The Temple Artifact. ~The stairs that descend to the next floor down. You cannot go down the stairs without the Artifact for that floor in your possession. Once you have cleared 7 floors in a row, you will be taken back to the Battle Temple lobby, and awarded with Battle Points (starting with 6, and increasing in proportion to your winning streak). (You will also keep the items you were carrying in your bag, to continue your winning streak on your next expedition.) Should you lose, you will have to start your streak over from the beginning. (You will also lose the items you were carrying in your bag, and have to start your winning streak again with the basic item stock.) Once you have cleared a certain number of battles and have shown your prowess as a trainer, you will be challenged to battle by the Frontier Brain here, Temple Lord DNA. Information about DNA is detailed below. ___________________________________________________________ ![]() DNA is the seventh of the Rindo Battle Frontier Brains. He is not only considered the strongest of all the Frontier Brains, but he is leader of the Battle Frontier, and co-leader of the entire Rindo Region with his twin brother Bass. DNA, like his brother, is very much an enigma, as he remains mostly in seclusion deep within the Battle Temple. He is, however, one of the friendlier Frontier Brains, and will always wait for his opponent to challenge him, instead of catching his opponent unprepared. He battles using a style unique among the Frontier Brains, and as such is much harder to defeat. The first time you fight DNA will be for the Silver Enigma Symbol. You will battle him after you clear 35 floors (your 5th run through, and he'll be at the end). This is the team he uses against you for the first battle. Claydol Lv. 50 Porygon-X Lv. 50The second time you fight DNA will be for the Gold Enigma Symbol. You will battle him after you clear 70 floors (your 10th time through, and he'll be at the end). This is the team he uses against you for the second battle. Once you defeat him both of these times, you'll be the champion explorer of the Battle Temple! |
