The Battle Plaza is a facility where all sorts of trainers gather together in a wide open area, socializing with one another, talking about their Pokemon, and of course, battling each other. It's really just a big place where everyone can make friends and just mingle. And it has its facets for those who are Symbol collecting, as well. There are two modes that you can choose from in the Battle Plaza: Single Mode and Double Mode. In Single Mode, you will pick your usual team of 3 Pokemon. You will then engage in single-battle against 7 consecutive trainers with random teams. The trainers start off easy, but get harder as you go along, and they will fight under the same conditions as you. There is a catch to battling here though: your Pokemon aren't fully healed in between battles! This is compensated for with the Plaza Point system. When you first enter the Battle Plaza and are just beginning your winning streak, you will be presented with 100 Plaza Points. (If you're continuing a previous streak, when you enter, you will be presented with the amount of Plaza Points you left off with.) After you fight a trainer, you will be given a certain amount of Plaza Points. The amount given depends on your current winning streak. It starts out at 40 Plaza Points, and increases by 10 for each 10 wins in your streak. (For example, if your streak is in between 30 and 39 when you defeat a trainer, you will be given 70 Plaza Points.) Using the Plaza Points that you have, you can choose to heal your team in between battles. (Healing in between is optional. You can choose to forgo it if your team can survive another battle or two, but if your team is hurting you may want to heal.) This opportunity is produced to you in between every battle. This is how many Plaza Points you can spend to heal your team: Completely heal your team's HP: 60 Plaza Points Completely heal your team's PP: 40 Plaza Points Completely heal your team's HP and PP: 80 Plaza Points (a 20-point discount) Double Mode is virtually identical to Single Mode, except you will be bringing in a team of 4 Pokemon instead of 3, and you will be engaging in 4-Pokemon Double Battles, instead of 3-Pokemon Single Battles. Once you have cleared 7 battles in a row, you will be taken back to the Battle Plaza lobby, and awarded with Battle Points (starting with 4, and increasing in proportion to your winning streak). (You will also carry over the Plaza Points you have amassed, to be used as you continue your winning streak.) Should you lose, you will have to start your streak over from the beginning (and you will lose all the Plaza Points you have amassed, and have to start with the basic 100-point allotment). Once you have cleared a certain number of battles and have shown your prowess as a trainer, you will be challenged to battle by the Frontier Brain here, Plaza Princess Susan. (You can only fight her in Single Mode.) Information about Susan is detailed below. ___________________________________________________________ ![]() Susan is a kind person; she loves helping people and Pokemon. She's easy to be friends with and get along with. She's twelve years old, but a talented trainer. She works hard to be friends with her Pokemon and to raise them well. She has a special bond with her Empoleon. Together she and her Pokemon are tough to beat. The first time you fight Susan will be for the Silver Dream Symbol. You will battle her after you defeat 27 trainers (your 4th run through, and she'll be the last trainer). This is the team she uses against you for the first battle. Meganium Lv. 50The second time you fight Susan will be for the Gold Dream Symbol. You will battle her after you defeat 69 trainers (your 10th time through, and she'll be the last trainer). This is the team she uses against you for the second battle. Umbreon Lv. 50 Empoleon Lv. 50 Rapidash Lv. 50Once you defeat her both of these times, you'll be recognized as an incredible trainer who aced the Battle Plaza! |
