The Battle Cube is a large building in the shape of a cube (doi), and is a hub of excitement in the Battle Frontier. Here, exhilarating tournaments are staged, with trainers reaching to be number one. However, they are single-elimination tournaments - lose once and you're out!

There are two modes that you can choose from in the Battle Cube:
Single Mode and Double Mode.

In both Single Mode and Double Mode, you will pick your usual team of 3 Pokemon. You will then be entered in a 16-man single-elimination tournament. There will be four rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Semi-Final, and Final, and you have to fight and defeat the trainer in each one in order to win the tournament. All trainers in this tournament have random teams, and fight under the same conditions as you.

Before each battle, you may examine your opponents in the tourney, and examine what Pokemon they have, as well as a brief description of their team. (Note: You can only see the species of the Pokemon.) Once you have done this, and have examined the team of your next opponent, you pick two Pokemon in your team to battle your opponent with. You and your opponent will then square off with the two Pokemon that you each have chosen (in Double Mode, you will both fight a Double Battle and send both Pokemon out at once - this is the only difference between the two modes). Your Pokemon will be fully healed in between each match, to keep yourself at full strength for the next battle.

Once you have cleared the final match of the tournament, you will be taken back to the Battle Cube lobby, and awarded with Battle Points (starting with 1, and increasing in proportion to your winning streak). Should you lose, you will have to start your streak over from the beginning.

Once you have cleared a certain number of battles and have shown your prowess as a trainer, you will be challenged to battle by the Frontier Brain here, Cube King Landon. (You can only fight him in Single Mode.) Information about Landon is detailed below.

Landon is the head of the Battle Cube in the Battle Frontier. A soft-spoken individual, he blazes forth as an icon on the tournament stage. He is neither overconfident nor overbearing, but always plays to win, and his team reflects his desire.

The first time you fight Landon will be for the Silver Popularity Symbol. You will fight him as the final match in your 3rd consecutive tournament. This is the team he uses against you for the first battle.

The second time you fight Landon will be for the Gold Popularity Symbol. You will fight him as the final match in your 8th consecutive tournament. This is the team he uses against you for the second battle.

Once you defeat him both of these times, you'll be the undefeatable champion of the Battle Cube!
