So you're wondering "what is PMEX Day"? Well, we decided to have a day to celebrate PMEX, just in general. Today, July 24th, was chosen because it's the anniversary of its creation - I was the first member; look at my join date.

I promised that I wanted to put an extension to the RPG up, but I completely forgot about it. I have a map sketch drawn up, but that's about it. I also promised that there'd be new starter Pokemon...which I did create, but I haven't uploaded it yet.

Why'd I forget? I have a midterm tomorrow and my summer classes have been more on my mind right now.

At the very least, I will try to upload my sketch of the new region map. I called it the Charti region, it's shaped like a Charti Berry, and it's symmetrical. Also the cities look like Regirock's/Regice's eyes, though I haven't thought up names for them (though I think Akito might be thinking of them). Coincidental? Yes, yes it was. And for the starters? I will put them in the Fakedex.

In the meantime, please feel free to kick back and go wild. If I don't upload the sketch here by the time the day is over, please bug me.

Happy Friday 13th? Wow, what am I smoking?

Okay, time to get to the point. I'm in an exceptionally good mood today, especially considering how I now have a driver's license (read: hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband too), and thus the amount of personal freedom I have is increasing.

Plus, I was planning to re-open PMEX this weekend anyway.

I want to try and do an RP extension by the 24th...which is going to be pretty tricky as I have put exactly zero work into it so far. Dangit, summer classes. Stop getting in my way. If I apply myself, I might be able to slip in a few hours on the weekend working on it.
The 24th's going to be pretty nice.

But as for whether or not I'm going to close the forum again? Yeah, probably not. I just wanted to see how you would all react. My goal was to get Storywriter to whine; instead what happened is I got Fadiel to whine. However, I was legitimately tired and needed a break.

Also we are now all a big happy family of Long Island Jews straight out of a sitcom. Except for Storywriter; he acculy is Dolan.

Is that just showing up for me or is everyone getting this? If not, someone send me the direct link to the chat.

For some of you, it's Good Friday. For the rest of you it's just April 22. Regardless of what you view today as, I have an announcement to make.

I'm planning some big-time overhaul for the RPG to be implemented some time within the next couple weeks. It'll affect everybody, and I hope it'll be a change for the better. These are some of the changes we have in store.

~A map of the entire Rindo Region will be made, including cities, routes, special areas, and anything else that would be good for the RPG.
~Speaking of routes, we'll be adding those too. They will connect the cities together, and will serve as the replacement to Capture Arenas. Done!
~Capture Arenas will soon be removed from the RPG, and here's the reason why: They're dull, repetitive, and you don't really get a whole lot of development out of them. When the changes are complete the topics will be archived. Anyone currently in a Capture Arena topic will be compensated when the changes are implemented. (This is why I haven't modded Dialga/Drako/Aki in the Capture Arenas lately; I want to wait until the changes come about.)
~Cities will also go through a cosmetic overhaul, so to speak. Teams of important trainers are also being edited - I'm working backwards right now, and have already finished all the post-E4 trainer teams. The E4 will probably also be given rematch teams. Done!
~When the Battle Frontier Shop is finished, a standardized TM list will also be implemented. I plan to have 100 TMs plus a few HMs to go along with them. TMs will now have unlimited usage, in accordance with the Generation Five changes. Done!
~Since Aero doesn't take care of the website as often as he should, the DNA Dex will now be made public, once I have finished writing all the Generation Five Pokemon's entries. (As of the time I am writing this, I am up to #601 Klinklang.) It will be posted as a sticky. Done!
~And as a heads-up to all you members and RPG mods out there: Shiny Pokemon can ONLY be obtained via an RPG event - typically, a Trivia of Bass event, although there may be others. Members cannot make their Pokemon shiny after they have obtained them, nor can a mod make a shiny Pokemon appear outside of an RPG event, unless Bass gives said mod permission for that one instance. There is also currently no such thing as a shiny Fakemon either.

Most of these things will be carried out by Akito and myself, and I definitely hope all of you RPG players will be pleased with the changes. It will probably also make the RPG more appealing to both new and continuing RPG players alike.

I'll make another announcement again, or post in this topic, when the changes are completed.

I'm about this || close to having a mental breakdown, and here's why.

So I'm about to log on to my usual programs, and then I get hit with something that sends my emotions spiraling downward.

About 99% of my flash drive is GONE. Disappeared. Vanished into the ether.

As you can very well imagine, I'm extremely panicky, and the only backup I ever made of my flash drive is several months old. FORTUNATELY, most of what I lost can be reproduced...with one notable exception, the Nightmare fic. So until I rewrite that sucker, it's going to be on hold. Forever.

I'm going to try to spend the next couple days trying to restore everything I need, but it's going to be an arduous task. So, I'm going to write myself a list of what I need to reinstall, or at least remake (most of this won't apply to you people):

~mIRC (and the scripts that go with it)
~GIMP
~Hamachi
~Redshark
~Trivia of Bass VI Event Pokemon (I sorta remember what they are, though)
~Nightmare
~PMEX Wifi League
~PMEX RPG data (or at least whatever is missing)
~If I forgot anything I'm going to add it here

If you'll excuse me, I need to see where I can find a 4GB flash drive inexpensively.

Okay guys, I really need you to post your City name, gym types, badge name, name used for gym and anything you need. I am gonna be using RMXP to design cities and gyms but I need you guys to tell me what you want mapped.
