Battle Frontier Rules

The Battle Frontier is accessible to those special trainers who have defeated the Pokemon League Champion. It goes by certain rules to make battling even for both parties, and as such is more of a test of wits than brute strength alone. The rules of the Battle Frontier go like this.

~The object of the Battle Frontier is to formulate a team with which you will form winning streaks in all 7 of the facilities, and ultimately fight the Frontier Brains and obtain their Symbols. Should you lose one fight, you must start your winning streak over from the beginning.
~You can only bring in 3 of your Pokemon to form your team. (In certain Double Battle modes of facilities, you bring in 4 Pokemon.)
~No two Pokemon on your team may be the same species. (For example, you could not have two Gardevoir on your team, but a Gardevoir and a Gallade is acceptable.)
~No two Pokemon on your team may be holding the same held item. The Soul Dew item is also prohibited altogether.
~Speaking of held items, those are the only items allowed in the Battle Frontier.
~Your Pokemon will be temporarily level-adjusted to level 50. They will be restored upon exiting.
~Generally, after each battle, your Pokemon will be restored to full health in between battles. (There are only two exceptions to this.) Your Pokemon are also restored their items, if they have been used up or lost.
~The following species of Pokemon are not allowed in the Battle Frontier whatsoever:
Wobbuffet, Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Wynaut, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys (all forms), Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin (both forms), and Arceus (all forms). All other Pokemon are fair game.
~Each facility may also have individual rules that only apply to itself. These will be brought up as each facility is brought up in detail.

Your ultimate aim is to work your way up to the Frontier Brains in each facility, and defeat them to earn their Silver - and then their Gold - Symbols. Once you've acquired all seven, you will be the champion of the Battle Frontier. Good luck to you on your challenge!
