Well, the early games in the Pokemon series had plenty of glitches in them. So discuss anything odd you found in game here. For instance, did anyone ever run into Missingno.? Any glitches from R/B/G/Y and G/S/C can be discussed here. (If you used a Gameshark, it doesn't count!) |

Perhaps the strangest person you have ever laid eyes upon

Just the very common Mew glitch, but I'd certainly like to find one, I've looked for them on Youtube etc. |

The Mew Glitch where you used Fly right as a certain trainer spotted you to activate it? I suppose my big one would be the "Safari Glitch", where you did the Safari Game, and ran out of time/steps in an area with Pokemon you wanted to catch (for example, Chansey), and then flew to Viridian City and talked to the guy who shows you the battle tutorial, and watch that, then Fly to Cinnabar Island and Surf on the edge of it, and you would run into the Safari Pokemon. (Though I don't remember all of the details, so there might have been another step in there.) I think you could also clone items that way (you'd get a glitched number that was something like 80 of them I think, it might have been more though). You could also run into Missingno there. |

Did you follow the steps? I think (though I'm not entirely sure, its been years since I've done this), that all you have to do to run into MissingNO is to talk to the guy in Viridian that shows you how to catch Pokemon, watch his demonstration, and use Fly to go to Cinnabar Island right after that. Use Surf on the edge that leads to Seafoam Island, and ONLY Surf on the strip that is part land and part sea. You should run into MissingNo by Surfing up and down that strip (as well as other random Pokemon with random levels, that depend on your name, I think). I think it only works in R/B, though. I'm pretty sure that they fixed it in Yellow. Hope that helps! |
