So, if you've been around the forums and site for a while or had a look at some of the Fakemon in development on SpookyPatrol's DeviantArt account, you may have seen the terms Sound and Aether-type banded about, well I am about to explain these terms - the two new types introduced in Cuaro.

Here is a type chart (courtesy of Spooky) with Sound and Aether tagged on in case my descriptions are slightly confusing. ^^"

First off, Sound:
Attacks involve - Uh... sound? Noise? Not sure how else to describe it. ^^"

SE against - Ice (causes avalanches), Fighting and Psychic (breaks focus/concentration for both), Dark (sound can be used to detect foes even in darkness).

NvE against - Bug and Ghost (both use sound as a weapon), Sound (can't fight fire with fire, as it were).

Resistant to - not Ice (causing an avalanche doesn't stop you being crushed by it ;D), Fighting and Psychic (they need to concentrate to attack too, y'know), Sound (see previous note).

Weak to - Bug and Ghost (Sound-types would be especially susceptible to their version of sound as a weapon).

Sound-type moves - All moves that are blocked by Soundproof plus some of our creation.

Pre-existing Pokemon that would become Sound-type - Jigglypuff/Wigglytuff (Normal/Sound), Whismur/Loudred/Exploud (Sound), Chimecho (Psychic/Sound), Chingling (Sound), Chatot (Sound/Flying)

New Sound-type Pokemon - Trumcat/Jazzuar (Sound -> Sound/Dark), Blophin/Decipoise/Narwaile (Water -> Water/Sound)

** **

Aether:
Attacks involve - Light, celestial energy, aura (in the sense that the anime portrays it)

SE against - Normal, Fighting (kind of a mixture of the reasoning behind Psychic and Flying - would either be an attack from above or a meta-physical thing that they couldn't defend against with brute strength), Ghost and Dark (both use darkness as an aid, and most Aether attacks are based on light).

NvE against - Electric (UV light induces an electric current in certain materials, so if anything light would power up an electric type), Psychic (sort of a pun on enlightenment but Psychics use light to their advantage in their own way).

Resistant to - Normal, Ghost (immune) and Dark (a Ghost wouldn't even be able to get close enough without disintegrating and the bright light would certainly hinder a Dark-type).

Weak to - Electric (effectively draws energy from the Pokemon with each attack), Poison (they'd sort of 'taint' the errr shininess of the Pokemon... and we felt sorry for Poison-types XD), Psychic (a shield of light doesn't phase a Pokemon with telepathic powers ;D).

Aether-type moves - Flash, Doom Desire (possibly Flash Cannon, Mirror Shot, Meteor Mash). Plus many of our own creation.

Pre-existing Pokemon that would become Aether-type - None, but Lucario and Togekiss are kind of honorary Aether-types.

New Aether-type Pokemon - Jaylief/Jayel (Normal/Flying -> Aether/Flying), Snowleo/Blizzopard (Ice -> Ice/Aether), Dholune (Day Forme only), Equessence (Ghost/Aether), Zephound (Electric/Aether).

I also suggest that Sound be Super effective against fire types, since a pure, amplified tone is able to put out a well-sized fire. This can be done because the pressure waves from the sound disrupt the air enough to snuff out the flame.

Also, did I miss out completely on this? Has it died? Sorry for being gone so long.
