So we agreed with B->A->S for promotion caps, how else will this work? I'm thinking there should be an attack level for each type (caps vary for pokemon - waters can get high ice levels as well as water, for example). I'd also suggest A and/or S ranks giving a small hit/crit boost (maybe even mt boost, too). Perhaps even that you can only go far with a set few types? I mean, like a max of 3 types ranked above C (D and E for lower stage pokemon, respectively). Let's take an example in Starmie's type caps... Water is an obvious S, and Probably Psychic. Ice would be A. Normal and Electric B. Anything else would be C at most. |

Yeah, this would be the biggest problem. I'm thinking that despite the blow to simplicity, this is the best simple and flexible solution. I'd say S Rank in natural types, integral parts of the movepool go up to A (like Ice with water types) , Normal and less integral to B (unless the Pokemon is Normal itself), everything else to C (for simplicity's sake, unless it REALLY doesn't fit) |

Oh, crap. I'm not sure I still have that MSN log. =\ I don't think I had any other ideas on it, apart from locking Pokemon to their types, which looking back would suck. |

I think that works well, so. Good plan there.

That sounds good to me. Good plan, though I'd like to know about how classes work too. Is it OK if a make a new thread about that? Or just discuss it here?
