E Rank: Though better then rank-less you still won't find many pokemon for really giving your team a power boost. However the shops become available at this rank.

D Rank: Again a step up. At D rank you can actually find some half decent pokemon for battling. The trainers are tougher and a few contests will become available. You can also start entering Type battles at this point as well.

C Rank: At this rank the shops will have more in stock as will pokemon be more powerful. In addition promotions and contests will offer more and be more helpful in getting items. You can also battle other trainers, trade or breed your pokemon once you reach C Rank.

B Rank: B rank has several powerful pokemon not found in any other rank as well as a couple legendary pokemon roaming around for capture. However trainers are a lot tougher and more brutal.

A Rank: The pokemon are very powerful and trainers are at the top of their games. However the prizes for battling them is more then worth the challenge. Shops also have all items in stock once you reach this rank, as well as all type/elemental battles.

S Rank: This rank has the toughest of the toughest trainers and pokemon. Legendaries are spotted often here and bring even more power behind the S rank. Promotions, contests and rewards are also more then worth your time.

Beyond S: Getting here is almost impossible. All pokemon and trainers are between level 95 to beyond 100. The rewards for this rank are great and this rank also unlocks a special aera where only Legendary roam. Making it to this rank means that all pokemon that can be caught are abaible for catching.
