♫♪♫ - Rain Dance - ♫♪♫
OU So we're clear. ҉҈҉҉҈҉
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Standard Rain Dance Logic:
Make Rain > Sweep > Win/Lose depending on how that worked out.

I disliked the way that standard Rain Dance instantly reveals what it is. I also disliked the way that standard Rain Dance is often in chaos at the end of the game. On a basic level, this is what I changed to help fit with my play style.

My Team's Logic:
Scout > Make Rain > Sweep > Clean Up.

Even if it goes against all sane logic, this simple mesh has worked out very well for me.

Scizor (F) @ Choice Band
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
Ability: Technician
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
- Bullet Punch
- U-turn
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Scizor leads my team. It was chosen mainly for its ability to counter Tyranitar and Abomasnow but also because it works as a fantastic Scout and Revenge Killer. I feel that dedicated leads are overrated. Scizor was chosen to lead firstly as it hides my team's Rain Dance element and secondly as it can beat opposing Tyranitar and Abomasnow leads. I feel that hiding your team type early is important as once the opponent realises what you're running, they'll try as hard as they can to preserve their auto weather inducer.
224 Speed is there to beat Adamant Max Tyranitar which I feel is important.

Rotom-w @ Damp Rock
Nature: Modest (+SAtk, -Atk)
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 104 HP / 252 SAtk / 152 Spe
- Rain Dance
- Hydro Pump
- Shadow Ball
- Thunder

Rotom is my primary means of starting Rain Dance. It was chosen for its ability to not only deal with Tyranitar and Abomasnow switch-ins but also for its ability to fight very well independently without the need for a better item. It also takes Electric, Fighting, Ground and Normal attacks which, while always needed, are particularly valuable on my team.
152 Speed Evs allow Rotom to outspeed not only Jolly Max Tyranitar, but everything trying for that as well.

Parasect (M) @ Leftovers
Nature: Careful (+SDef, -SAtk)
Ability: Dry Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 172 Def / 86 SDef
- Aromatherapy
- Spore
- Stun Spore
- Seed Bomb

Parasect is my ailment handyman. It was chosen as it provides valuable ground, fighting and electric resistances, Status support on both sides, a way to hit Swampert and, perhaps most importantly; an immunity to Water. Opposing Water types, particularly Kingdra, can be a big hassle to deal with when you've created Rain. Even though Ice Beam is often seen on Water Types, Parasect still helps immensely.
The given Evs produce a balanced 317 HP / 239 Def / 238 SpD; only about as bulky as most Salamence. Parasect can still make use of this thanks to its handy resistances and 18% end-of-turn recovery under the Rain however.

Kabutops (M) @ Life Orb
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 26 HP / 252 Atk / 232 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Waterfall
- Rock Slide
- Aqua Jet

Kabutops is my secondary Rain Dance sweeper. It was chosen because it's the hardest hitting Rain Dance sweeper on the physical side, has access to Swords Dance and has a strong Priority Move that has good coverage with Steel.
232 Speed Evs will outspeed Modest Max Specs Heatran without Rain and up to Modest Scarf Gengar when Rain is in effect. Rock Slide was chosen because of accuracy issues. After a SD it's powerful enough and the additional speed makes the Flinch effect appealing.

Kingdra (M) @ Life Orb
Nature: Modest (+SAtk, -Atk)
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 92 HP / 252 SAtk / 164 Spe
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Rain Dance

Kingdra is my primary Rain Dance sweeper and secondary means of setting up Rain Dance. It was chosen because it's the best Rain Dance sweeper on the special side (or just the best in general really). This is mainly thanks to its amazing elemental coverage, typing and decent base stats.
164 Speed Evs allow Kingdra to initially outrun all non-Scarf Magnezone and Tyranitar. Under Rain, Kingdra is able to outspeed anything up to Modest Scarf Gengar. Hidden Power [Electric] was chosen to cover Gyarados though Rest and Dragon Pulse are all potential options.

Machamp (M) @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SAtk)
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 Spe
- DynamicPunch
- Stone Edge
- Payback
- Bulk Up

Machamp is, primarily, my late game sweeper. It was chosen as it threatens all of Kabutops and Kingdra's major counters, except for maybe Celebi, quite well. Even the Bulky Waters are afraid of DynamicPunch. Machamp also provides a Rock resist; putting the final nail in Tyranitar's coffin.
The standard 128 Spe Evs were dropped into HP as Skarmory isn't a real issue (and many will choose to simply WW my Bulk Up anyway). Only 6 Spe Evs were needed to let Machamp outpace Blissey. While Payback is a more solid option in terms of coverage, Ice Punch is a good alternative choice for coverage on Dragons.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Conclusion:
Well there's my team. It has worked very well for me so far but could use a little work. I hope you enjoyed reading. I did cut back on my usual amount of text but that shouldn't be a problem. While not much of my team takes direct advantage of Rain, I have found that the balance made things more managable and added to my overall success. Most Rain Dance teams have trouble addapting if the whether isn't working. Mine doesn't.

tl;dr...

Walls played well are really going to bug you. A WW/Roar user could also help you against stall tactics or anything that walls up against you. Another problem, as with all rain teams, is that you lack a status absorber.

Seeing as you have plenty of physical support, I would say you can cut Kabutops. Having two priority moves that can't hurt opposing Water types isn't helping you out too much and Kabutops can be pretty easy to take out. However, Swampert can take it's place pretty easily. I know I just suggested replacing a poke weak to Grass with another. Swampert is far more stable and can help you with your problems pretty easily.

Swampert@Leftovers
Adamant, Torrent
236 Hp, 136 Att, 136 Def (you can change, not really in the mood to do specific Ev's right now)
- Stealth Rock/Rest
- Roar/Sleep Talk
- Earthquake
- Waterfall

You can deal with one of your two problems with this set. Sorry if I didn't really help that much as I am severely out of it =.=

I would have to disagree, seeing as how you'd be losing your biggest physical sweeper for a ResTalker, or Phazer in this situation >_>

I would personally say kepp Kabutops, but I did adress Parasect on Serebii (y'know, the post where Addie basically said the same thing I did and got praised for it <_<) But anyway, you have much better options over Parasect IMHO, and personally I really only see him as taking advantage of Dry Skin. If you like the idea of Dry Skin, Toxicroak makes a better user of it (and if you think about it, Swampert could then go over Kabutops ;-) ) but if you like the coverage/immunities and Spore that Parasect gives, Breloom does that better IMO, so I would suggest him. Also, some other good RD Pokemon include Lanturn, who gets Dual STAB with Surf and Thunder, Ludicolo, who also gets "Dry Skin" (Rain Dish) and as Rhys said, Swampert, who could cover your weaknesses if you go with Toxicroak.

I hope this team does you good :P
