Oil Spill
Further down the article is the info you need.

Personally, I think we should just stop oil rigging in the Gulf of Mexico considering the fact its close to the coast and now beaches are going to be shut down and the environment in the area will suffer greatly. Hooray for people causing environmental problems. I wonder how they could have prevented this...

We stop oil rigging and the prices for gas will go up. Even if we care about the environment, or comfort is still more important. I wanna be able to pay cheap prices for gas rather than care for a stupid beach.

Hey, it's the truth! I care about the environment, but I really like my gas cheap. I don't want to overpay any more. It's been so long since gas was cheap. It burns a big ass hole in my pocket D:

Perfect world, yeah I care. But we don't live in that, and without a totalitarian world government (I fully support this), or everyone actually caring about the situation of everything else (lol, that's the definition of utopia).

In this world, I think we could go ahead and stop using oil, imo. Solar power, that kind of deal. For fuck's sake, who really needs to go 30402984034 miles an hour? Balls. Talk about over compensation

If you don't drive, then you wouldn't understand :P We could go ahead and stop using oil, but it would make the world work less efficiently. What we need to work on is zero point energy. Of course, the governments wouldn't like us to produce our own energy because then we'd be fucking over all the energy companies out there. Life's a bitch.

fun fact

Gas, on average, costs roughly 3 bucks a gallon right now, give or take depending on where you are, probably a bit lower. Pretty pricey, yeah? Consider this.
That oil had to first be extracted from the ground using an expensive and complicated method. People had to be trained on many different tasks when producing this small bit of oil. They also had to be paid. You then package up the oil, and if it came from the middle east, you pay millions of dollars to protect said oil. You then ship it from the other side of the fucking planet, refine it in an expensive process, transfer it all over the country (which, ironically, requires gas) and then finally sell it.

In the mean time, people happily pay a dollar for a 20oz bottle of water. Water that only required someone to go up a fucking mountain, collect it, come down, put it in a bottle and distribute it regionally.

We bitch about gas.

Humans are fucking retarded.

Most gas is refined on-site, and water has to be distilled before it can be bottled, but yes. People suck.

Honestly, efficiency is what's killing us anyway, so that can go suck a cock. I don't need to drive to understand what you mean-- I get exactly what you mean by it. Yeah, I agree on the zero point energy.

Government that's not totalitarian is shit anyway, sooo uhhh, yeah. System based on disagreement is lol.

Joy... The oil has reached Walton County.... Guess no one is going swimming for the next two weeks if they don't clean this mess soon. And bullshit about the weather. In Alaska, the water surge was more severe than here when they had to clean the oil spill when it occurred over there. Heck, its getting sunny here too. And they claim this spill was unlikely or impossible, in 2009, to affect the environment. Lack of intelligence...

because so much work is put into something (probably more than you put into finding a fucking diamond, and we don't complain about that price), and it's 3 dollars a gallon and we complain. The amount of work put into it... It should be a loooooooooooot more money. It really is stupid. :/

So...I imagine that if this were the 70's you'd be a hippie?

I do feel bad for the poor animals being corrupted by the oil spill, but for some reason you complaining about it just irritates me.
