Well I don't know if anyone cares much for the Olympics, but I always love watching them, and I've been watching the opening ceremonies.

I really enjoy watching all of the different events, so if anyone else is interested, I'd be glad to discuss with you all.

Slovakia stunned the Russians last night, and the Swiss and Belarus teams nearly did the same to Canada and Sweden respectively. Sunday's USA-Canada game is the big prelim matchup, as the teams will be fighting for a first round bye in the medal round.

I'm definitely going to try to catch the Sunday hockey game. Should be epic.

Pretty neat having the Olympics right here by me. We've sold our tickets now, but it's still a cool experience going downtown and seeing the entire city decorated.

5-3, the US defeats Canada for the first time in Olympic hockey since 1960. 50 YEARS. AMAZING GAME.

Yeah, it was very intense.

I'm impressed, Sheed, you resisted backing the likes of Brodeur, in favor of your home country. lol

Well, Brodeur may be my favorite player, but this is the Olympics. Go USA. Besides, the USA still has Parise and Langenbrunner, the captain and assistant captain of the Devils, Rafalski, a former Devil, and would have Martin, another Devil, if not for injury.

We shall not discuss the horrific events that occurred today. The Olympics are now over.

I forgot this thread was here. I guess I should rub it in that we took home the most gold, and most importantly, the hockey gold =)

Now this is the story all about how
My sled got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I took a bad turn and caught mad air

In Soviet Georgia born and raised
On the ice luge where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, luging, relaxing all cool
Taking Russian hostages inside a school
When a couple of Reds, they were up to no good
Drove Russian tanks into my neighborhood
One separatist movement and my mom got scared
And said "You're going to Vancouver to catch mad air"

I waited for my start and when it came near
the course said "fast" and had a concrete barrier
If anything I could say that this track was rare
But I though nah, forget it, Nodar, catch air!

I slid up to turn number seven or eight
And I yelled to my trainer "Comrade, it's hard to steer"
Flew into a wall and I was finally there
Killed my self while trying to catch mad air
