A Tyranitar lead is rarely seen in my book, so I don't know much about them. But a taunt would do nicely against most leads, especially condiering not many other than Metagross or Breloom have the means to defeat it. But it's not fast, so another Taunt lead would ruin you. Then again, the rise in Fighting types and Fighting moves puts him at a huge disadvantage. Up to you.

1st Grand Champion of The Gym Leader Castle Posts: 414 Group: PokeMods Member #212 Joined: Jun 19, 2009	1st off, I would not recommend Tyranitar as your lead. I love the guy to death, but he is much better as a sweeper. This is an example of a Tyranitar lead: Tyranitar @ Focus Sash Nature: Sassy IVs: All 31 EVs: 240 HP / 36 Attack / 48 Defense / 184 Special Defense ~ Taunt ~ Stealth Rock ~ Fire Punch ~ Crunch TBH it is not great to say the least. Azelf is the faster Taunter by a mile and will get up Stealth Rocks before Tyranitar could even have a shot. Azelf has a STAB psychic and Tyranitar a STAB Crunch and Azelf has Explosion while Tyranitar has a Fire Punch. Azelf is not hit by ground moves and Tyranitar starts a Sandstorm. Based on the above Azelf is better. If you are really having a problem with Ninjask (or Yanmega) I would recommend a Metagross lead which has the STAB priority move Bullet Punch that really helps against them. Edit: Also, if you are going to post a new team I ask that it be a full team. This is for two reasons. One, if you are smart enough to pick 1 Pokemon, you are smart enough to pick 6. Based off my battles with you, I know you are smart enough Second, if you don't have a full team it is impossible for you to playtest, nevermind the multitudes of battles you should be doing before you ask for a rate. Play testing really cuts down on obvious flaws that are easy to fix which saves RMTers a lot of time and effort. This then lets us give you a better rate. But I won't push it, since I don't use it too often. Also, I wonder why everyone says a Metagross lead works so well with my team.
