Focus Sash makes sure you have the time needed to do this. Finally psychic until you are low on health and finally use explode to suicide. Your nature is better Adamant for the extra power. The Speed Jolly gave you wasn't needed. You're EV's were a bit messed up but I fixed them to give you greater power and durability while still keeping your speed high. Lastly Outrage is much more powerful then Dragon Claw. However there Salamence who is generally much better then Flygon. The following is the best set for Salamence. After one dragon dance it can with Outrage, at worst, 2HKO all Pokemon in the OU Tier even if they are a steal type that resists dragon. I personally suggest it over Flygon. There is also a Choice Scarf set I can show you if you like. Salamence @ Life Orb Ability: Intimidate Nature:Naughty (+ Attack, - Special Defense) EVs: 232 Attack / 24 Special Attack / 252 Speed ~ Dragon Dance ~ Fire Blast ~ Earthquake ~ Outrage Like I said before this is a really powerful set. Come in on a ground attack or something that will not do a lot of damage. Set up with Dragon Dance and sweep. The only problem that I do see with Salamence is that half your team will have a 2xs to Rock and no one would resist it. It is not something major, but something to keep in mind Quote: Scizor (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Technician Nature: Adamant (+ Attack, -Special Attack) EVs: 32 HP/252 Attack/224 Speed ~ Bullet Punch ~ Brick Break ~ Swords Dance ~ X-Scissor Besides the nature your Scizor is basically fine. It needs the boost in attack more than in speed. I personally prefer Brick Break over Superpower because it can break walls and lets Scizor sweep for longer periods of time because there is not attack loss. Quote: Gyarados (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Intimidate Nature: Adamant (+ Attack, - Special Attack) EVs: 252 Attack / 4 Defense / 252 Speed ~ Dragon Dance ~ Waterfall ~ Stone Edge ~ Ice Fang Gyarados, being a sweeper, wants Life Orb and not Leftovers. It also wants Adamant nature for the bigger boost in attack. It will get enough speed from Dragon Dance. I fixed up the EV spreed. Max attack and max speed will help you out a lot, and the last four go into defense. Lastly Ice Fang over Taunt. By the time you get up you'll have no need trying to stop other things from setting up. If they use Stealth Rocks or Swords Dance instead of attacking, KO them swiftly with your already boosted attacks. Quote: Heatran (M) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Flash Fire Nature: Naive (+ Speed, - Special Defense) EVs: 4 HP / 252 Speed / 252 Special Attack ~ Explosion ~ Hidden Power [Ice] ~ Earth Power ~ Fire Blast This is the best revenge killer in the game. Not too much to say about it. With the new moves Heatran has better type coverage and is very fast. Quote: Gengar (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Levitate Nature: Timid (+Speed, -Attack) EVs: 4 HP / 252 Speed / 252 Special Attack ~ Focus Blast ~ Thunderbolt ~ Shadow Ball ~ Hidden Power [Fire] This is very similar to the set you had. I don't use Stealth Rock often, but it's other attacks work just as good. Taunt is for Bronzongs and anything else that sets up at the start, EQ's for Infernape and Stone Edge is for Gyrados and Salamence EDIT: Next is Flygon. I put him there to absorb Electric attacks like T-wave. He's got a Choice Sacrf to outspeed DDers and such. His attacks are standard except for Dragon Claw, whihc is there instead of Outrage so if a Steel comes out, I can switch out. EDIT: After Flygon is Scizor. He's there as a plain Physical Sweeper. The rest should be self-explanatory, SD Scizor. Fourth is Gyrados, bulky Gyrados to be specific. DD is there since Gyrados does it so well. Waterfall and Stone Edge are the attacks and Taunt is there just in case Aerodactyl goes down. EDIT: Fifth is Heatran, Choice Scarfed. He's there to absorb Fire attacks and take down all kinds of things. Dark Pulse is there instead of Explosion for Latias and Starmie, plus I can get some flinch hax Finally is Gengar, also a Special Sweeper like Heatran. You may notice that my team has no Grass attacks. That's why Gengar has Energy Ball for Swamperts, and the element of surprise. Also notice I have 3 Physical Pokemon and 3 Special Pokemon. Please dont double post (and triple, quadruple, etc) in the future

Your entire team has +Speed natures, and while its a solid cast, its going to have trouble against a bulkier, more well-rounded team. You may want to look into different versions of the same team members, as it works well with its types/resistances.

I like a lot of the changes TheOedipusRex made, in turning Speed natures to attacking ones where necessary, however, I liked the lefties on Gyarados and I prefer HP Ice on Gengar to deal with Dragons, although Metagross coverage is nice.

It can do some good damage over the course of one game and can break focus sashes and kill enemies with low health that try and switch in and out. I think that happened to you at least once, if not twice, in the battle we had. Azelf is almost as fast as Aerodactyl and is much faster then the other popular leads. Aerodactyl being faster than it is of no meaning because Aerodactyl is almost never used any more. Don't get me wrong, I like him and used to use him a lot, but I switched to Azelf once I was showed how much better Azelf can do. Azelf has Taunt just like Aerodactyl does. Azelf also has Stealth Rocks. On the other hand Aerodactyl does not have Fire Blast to use against Metagross, Bronzong, Breloom, etc that Azelf has. Aerodactyl also does not have psychic for Infernape like Azelf does. The best Aerodactyl has is earthquake that doesn't affect levitate Bronzongs or Azelfs or Sheninjas or Yanmegas, etc. I also don't believe Aerodactyl has access to Explosion like Azelf does. Cosmosiege Next is Flygon. I put him there to absorb Electric attacks like T-wave. He's got a Choice Sacrf to outspeed DDers and such. His attacks are standard except for Dragon Claw, whihc is there instead of Outrage so if a Steel comes out, I can switch out The best options for absorbing an electric attack is Jolteon, Electivire, etc. because of their abilities. Hack even Dugtrio is better then Flygon because with Dugtrio's Arena Trap you'll score a nice KO. This is unless they are faster and happen to have an ice attack, but in that case Flygon's 4xs weakness to ice really shows. Furthermore the Salamence with outrage set I showed you at worst 2HKOs all pokemon in the OU Tier, even steels that resist dragon moves. By switching out instead of staying in you are letting your opponent set up or score a free attack. Even if Flygon/Salamence does die, which unless they are low on health they won't, you have Heatran, Azelf, etc. to come in and get a revenge KO. Cosmosiege After Flygon is Scizor. He's there as a plain Physical Sweeper. The rest should be self-explanatory, SD Scizor. I think esides the Superpower to Brick Break move change the Scizor was good. Cosmosiege Fourth is Gyrados, bulky Gyrados to be specific. DD is there since Gyrados does it so well. Waterfall and Stone Edge are the attacks and Taunt is there just in case Aerodactyl goes down. Like I explained in my first post Gyarados is better off with Dragon Dancing and sweeping, not taunting. If the opponent tries to set up on you with Stealth Rocks or something while you have a Dragon Danced Gyarados you should have the time to KO before that setting up is of any use. Cosmosiege Fifth is Heatran, Choice Scarfed. He's there to absorb Fire attacks and take down all kinds of things. Dark Pulse is there instead of Explosion for Latias and Starmie, plus I can get some flinch hax Heatran has no business trying to get a kill from Latias or Starmie. Unless it is a simple revenge kill, in which case Explosion would be the better move, he will get destroyed. Cosmosiege Finally is Gengar, also a Special Sweeper like Heatran. You may notice that my team has no Grass attacks. That's why Gengar has Energy Ball for Swamperts, and the element of surprise. I suggest that if you really want grass support that you should go with the Cele-Tran-Water combo that I used in our match. You already have Heatran and a bulky water (Gyarados) so you should switch Gengar for Celebi. This is a good Celebi set that gives you team some much needed defense: Celebi @ Leftovers Ability: Natural Cure Nature: Bold (+ Defense, - Attack) EVs: 252 HP / 220 Defense / 36 Speed ~ Leech Seed / Thunder Wave ~ Grass Knot ~ Recover ~ Hidden Power [Fire] / Hidden Power [Ice] Leech Seed will annoy opposing teams making them switch into entry hazards (i.e. stealth rocks) or let you sap their HP every turn. Recover adds to your durability as does Leftovers, Bold nature, and the EV spread. Thunder Wave could be used instead to cripple sweepers (i.e. Gyarados and Azelf). Grass Knot is a powerful STAB move and you mentioned before that you need a grass move. Hidden Power [Fire] and Hidden Power [Ice] add to your attack diversification. With your team I may recommend going with Hidden Power [Ice] but it is debatable. Cosmosiege Also notice I have 3 Physical Pokemon and 3 Special Pokemon. While balance may be good strategy will eventually win out. You could have a team of all special attackers and if your opponent doesn't know how to stop you with their balanced team you'll win with your unbalanced team. Just something to think about. Leftovers may be better on Gyarados depending on if Gyarados is trying to be very aggressive or if he is trying to stall. From the other members on the team and the match I had with Cosmosiege I found that his team is much more aggressive. However some stall elements could help a bit. Here is a defensive Gyarados if Cosmosiege is interested: Gyarados @ Leftovers Ability: Intemidate Nature: Impish (+ Defense, - Special Attack) EVs: 252 HP / 224 Defense / 32 Speed ~ Waterfalll ~ Dragon Dance ~ Rest ~ Sleep Talk This plays much more defensively, much like a defensive Suicune. This is also a better Pokemon for that Cele-Tran-Water combo I was talking about. Personally I like Gyarados more for offense and Suicune for defense. For Cosmosiege's use, a defensive Suicune would look like this: Suicune @ Leftovers Ability: Pressure Nature: Bold (+ Defense, - Attack) EVs: 252 HP / 252 Defense / 4 Speed ~ Surf ~ Calm Mind ~ Rest ~ Sleep Talk Suicune is a special sweeper while Gyarados is a physical sweeper. It is not STAB like Stone Edge and Earthquake has much better type coverage against other leaders.

Teh Newcomer Posts: 42 Group: Members Member #215 Joined: Jun 21, 2009	To TheOedipusRex I see the point of most of your choices. I forgot about Electivire's Motor Drive and I like the Celebi. And I also see your point on Ice Fang. But, one other thing you might notice is my team is fully immune to Toxic Spikes and mostly immune to plain Spikes. Switching Azelf and Aero sounds fine to me in that regard and the same goes for Celebi, but if Azelf is going to have Explosion, I'll need another Taunter on my team for things like Breloom and Walrein in the Hail. What's another good Taunter that I can replace something with? Why am I asking? Like I said before, if Azelf will be carrying Explosion, I'll need another Taunter. Btw, Scizor had a Jolly nature to outrun non-choice Scarfed Magnezone, since he's an excellent counter to Scizor. Also, should I teach Scizor Thunderpunch? I really do not think you need another Taunter. I will take a look but I really don't think you need it. I'll give you can example. You have a Pokemon out and Gyarados switches into it Your Pokemon is water weak so you switch out to another Pokemon, with Taunt, so you stop it from setting up. On Your switch Gyarados uses Dragon Dance. The next turn he used Dragon Dance and afterward you use Taunt. Now that Gyarados has two DDs under it's belt it probably can sweep the rest your team. GG. The better option, because you team is offensive, would be to switch into a counter and destroy the Gyarados while he is still setting up.

Besides, I'd send something out like Aerodactyl or Flygon to take it out. And yeah, I'm not out of school yet. But it doesn't matter, since I'm not doing anything other than listening to my iPod.

Teh Newcomer Posts: 42 Group: Members Member #215 Joined: Jun 21, 2009	Gengar can learn Taunt, but I'd have to get rid of something to put it there. Also, Gengar is very fragile, so if I Taunt and the opponent attacks, Gengar is most likely dead. And school isn't a big of a deal anymore, especially since I graduated this year. The only other options I see are Weavile and Aerodactyl. Better yet don't have a suicide lead and have Azelf as a special sweeper with Taunt. By which I mean A Heatran with Stealth Rock or the same Heatran I have/you suggested. Plus where would I get Pokemon like these for real battles anyway? I have no Action Replay, sadly.
