Quote: Dragonite w/ Lum Berry Adamant / Inner Focus 6 HP, 252 ATK, 252 SPEED Dragon Dance Fire Punch Earthquake Outrage Ragenite, obviously. He's one of the main sweepers, deals heavy damage with Dragon Dance then Outrage. His Lum Berry cures the confusion or any other status effect that hits me like paralyze or sleep. His Fire Punch and Earthquake deal with other Threats like Metagross, Forretress, and Scizor. Quote: Heracross w/ Choice Scarf Jolly / Guts 252 ATK, 6 DEF, 252 SPEED Close Combat Megahorn Night Slash Stone Edge Another good sweep. His choice band makes him faster than anything without Choice Scarf. Because he's a physical sweep, he's constantly targeted for paralyze or burn. However, this only makes him even stronger. And his weaknesses are pretty much covered, Heatran with Choice Band is about all I've seen that can take him down without resisting a hit first. Megahorn easily takes care of the fact there are two fighting types on this team. Quote: Snorlax w/ Lum Berry Adamant / Immunity 252 HP, 252 ATK, 6 DEF Curse Rest Super power Zen Headbutt I saw this particular snorlax used against me and decided to try it for myself. He seems ample replacement for Machamp, he hits just a tad harder. Lum Berry is there for status/rest recovery. The huge amounts of Cursing done boost me to an almost invincible state if I get them pulled off. Quote: Blissey w/ Leftovers Calm / Natural Cure 150 HP, 252 DEF, 108 SATK Ice Beam Seismic Toss Softboiled Thunderwave This Blissey has my ass once or twice. Seismic spam combined with Softboiled is pretty beast actually. It's saved more times than a WishBliss has. The Ice Beam is for whatever is immune to Seismic Toss. Quote: Alakazam w/Choice Specs Timid / Synchronize 252 SPEED, 252 SATK, 6 SDEF Focus Blast Psychic Signal Beam Trick A Trick-Kazam. The choice specs prove useful against the occasional Gengar or other threat of the sort. But if I need to stop a status-user, Trick is idealy used. Alakazam's defense is rather bogus, but its off-set by his godly SATK. I may turn this into my in-game team if I can gather all of these up... Edited by Overthrown, Jun 18 2009, 09:08 PM.

You should prolly use Choice Scarf rather than Choice Band on Heracross so he's faster like you say, but it seems pretty good.

Maybe i'm wrong, but they've never worked for me and whoever i'm facing doesn't seem to manage to keep them in either. ...Apart from Hitmontop for some reason. Looks like some classics here. Not a huge fan of Trickzam. But then again that's because a forum fried my ass about Alakazam sets so I'm pretty careful with him now.

Tried it and proved it. breloom leads, outspeeds gross, spore sub up focus punch/leech seed you switch hera in to a big dent from focus punch or you get a leech seed focus punch either leaving you near dead (assuming he focus punched you) or dead. The other situation is that you're seeded, he heals, spores you, then switches to something to counter the obvious close combat/megahorn which you can't predict well enough because you've only seen breloom. He has the over pokemon, which will probably continue to leach you.

I don't think you change cast members from what is essentially a solid team just to counter one pokemon, albeit a preveleant one. You can, however, change the order. Dragonite lead could work, as your team is sturdy enough to switch in on a physical attacker.

Plus, like above, I hear Infernape's a decent dude. But, y'know, testing results are the best barometer.
