Takes place right after Moon Viewing Recital

While the final performances were through with, the last night of the festival was still young, and people dispersed to enjoy the stalls, games, and attractions for one last time. Miharu had finished with the dance and she had been given the rest of the night to enjoy for herself. While Miharu often wore kimono, it was tradition for people to wear yukatas at the festival. The one Miharu wore contrasted the bright colors of others as she wore a dark blue one with translucent purple blooms and lily pads, giving the illusion of the fabric being water. In contrast to how decorative her hair had been during the festival, Miharu had settled for a woven bun with a simple white blossom in her hair while a few stray curls framed her hair.

"I wonder if Tachibana-san and the others were able to make it today," she said as she looked around in the crowd. She had invited some of her friends to the festival and had mentioned in passing that she would be performing, albeit she had been a little shy to talk about it. Still, now that the performance was over, she could brush it aside and just look forward to things she actually enjoyed: being with friends.

What a lucky night.

This marks the second and last day of the summer festival, and Hideki couldn't be feel any more happy. Not only he talked his parents out of joining them for another festival escapade somewhere in Nagashima, but this time he didn't have to lie to them, as his excuse this time was truthful.

He was out with his girlfriend.

That indeed meant what it meant, the young teen was spending the festival with Mari, whom was able to be present enough to join him tonight. Sure, he was back in the Ruwashi Park Festival, but he was more than willing to revisit if it meant Mari being more at ease thanks to having the nature side of the park next to her.

He didn't care for that. He didn't care the fact that the olace was crowded, or that he still wore his vibrant orange yukata, because he was spending time with Mari, and that's all that mattered. Once the recital finished, his view started getting blocked by the people around them, but he was able to male out a game stall relatively nearby. And it even have prizes! That made an idea pop into his mind. "Hey, Mari-chan," He said, turning to the girl next to him. "wanna check out that stall? I bet I can win you something."

This was awesome.

This was seriously awesome.

It had been such a long time since she'd actually been to a festival, she forgot just how fun they were! Sure they had pretty much just started, but Mari was already having a ton of fun just...taking everything in. She'd even gotten a Yukata for the occasion! Bright red, just like her new hairstyle. She'd practically forced the salesperson to help her get ready and had gotten several confirmations that she looked good.

This was a pretty rare event so she didn't want to screw it up.

A bright smile appeared on her face as Hideki mentioned visiting a stall. "Bet I can win you something too." The happiness mixed with her usual brash confidence as she immediately moved towards the stall, practically dragging Hideki with her.

For the night, Jin had arrived relatively late. Or at least, it was later than he had originally anticipated. The magician didn't expect his mother to let him help with the night's meal, which took some time to clean up for, prepare and then clean up afterwards.

After the food, Jin wasted more time by tearing the house apart for the tie that went well with his current outfit. He was already dressed when he realized the tie wasn't where he last placed it, and proceeded to check the living room, the laundry room and with his parents and his sister. It wasn't an easy tie to hide, as it was a very bright blue that would have stood out around the neutral colors of the surroundings of Jin's room and the house. No one knew where it was, so Jin decided he was going to end up going without the tie, until he passed his room and saw it on his desk, exactly where he figured he had left it.

As he left his house, Jin's hands found their way to his pockets as he checked to make sure he had everything. Phone? Check! Wallet? Nope! And Jin went back inside as he rummaged around inside of his desk as he procured his wallet. Phone, check! Wallet, check! Cash...yes! Watch in case the phone dies on me...yes!

"Alright, good to set out," Jin said as he started towards the festival.

--------

When he arrived, Jin was sporting a black dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, the vibrant blue tie that he went through trouble finding and some nice, khaki colored dress pants. Yet, with his arrival, his spirits had lowered. Yes, he'd made it to the previous days, but he did feel bad that he arrived as he missed the performances of the night. BUT! Jin wasn't going to dwell on that. The point of the festival was to have fun.

Speaking of fun, there was a game stall nearby that seemed popular with the people present. I think I'll go try that one out.

Telling himself it was for the sake of further “research”, Senjiro decided to wear his dark wine colored yukata again that night. One would notice the obi was a little uneven though, the reason being he didn’t have a store clerk help putting it on that time. Fittingly, his hair was in a low ponytail he’d arranged his hair in seconds before leaving the room and realizing that day was hotter than he’d like. But the festival was enough of an unique event for him to prefer braving the heat than staying indoors.

He wandered among the stalls looking for anything he might have missed on the first night, and also on the lookout for any known faces to maybe hang out with. His eyes were drawn and set on Hideki and his companion from a mile away, even before he realized it was him: in bright red and orange, the pair stood out like a sore thumb against the majority of other festival goers. He raised both eyebrows, intrigued, when he got closer and saw the girl with him wasn’t his senpai Atsuko. Senjiro slowed down as he approached, debating whether he should say hi or not interrupt what may actually be a date this time. Passing a mere foot or two behind him, he came to a halt. A quick “hello” would hardly ruin anything, would it?

He was just about to poke Hideki’s shoulder when something else in a just as vibrant color caught his eye: a flash of blue against black. Following the tie up with his eyes he found a familiar pair of green eyes fixated on the stall they were all standing by: seemed his Ruins Raiding buddy was up, fine and out for a night of festival fun. He retreated his hand from Hideki, though he stood within his earshot. “Hey, Nagare-san,” he greeted the tanned boy with a bright smile and a wave to catch his attention, “You alone?”. Waiting for his response he spent a moment to take his outfit in: Senjiro didn’t know much about clothes but ties and dress shirts spoke "fancy" to him. Seemed his assesment of this Taiyoutono student being the classy type had been correct.

Since Chisato wasn't around yet and there was time to spare, Miharu decided to help herself to some sweets. While she could cook at home, there was something about street food that felt just so much more authentic and delicious. Was it the atmosphere? The cheap condiments? She wasn't sure.

She bought herself several sticks of sweet dumplings and intended to sneak to a corner and eat them. Yes, they were unhealthy. Yes, she needed to watch her weight. But she was so tired of her godmother making her eat steamed veggies and fish. She needed sugar, dammit!

Too preoccupied looking at the four sticks of dumplings, their syrup glistening in the lantern light and their aroma hypnotizing, she failed to notice a rather tall and lithe person walking in the perpendicular direction and crashed into them, quickly losing grip of her dumplings while staining the person's shirt.

"Bwaah!" she yelped as she saw her treats hit and bounce of the ground. She gasped.

"NO! NOT AGAIN! WHY!!!????" she wailed in despair to the point her eyes were teary. This was the second time this week! Were the gods watching her!??

She hastily turned, crying and furious to the person she bumped into.

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU'VE DONE?? MY POOR CHILDREN ARE DEAD NOW!" she said helplessly and pointing at the tainted street food in exagerration."Watch where you're going will you---"

Opening her eyes, she realized it was none other than that quiet boy she met at the park! He wasn't dressed up or anything, but it seemed he had gone to check out the festival after all. Miharu's eyes widened and her face turned redder than a candied apple.

"N-N-Nagare-san! PLEASE FORGIVE ME!" she said before bowing profusely with her hands clasped. "I didn't stain your shirt or hurt you, did I??"
